This XUNTOP indicator and base set comes in a nice compact case that I really like. Many other sets come in similar blow-molded cases that are comically large and oversized, and they take up too much space. The XUNTOP case is slim and does exactly what it needs to do.

The digital indicator itself is nice and works pretty well. At this price point, the body is almost entirely plastic, the buttons rattle a bit, and it feels somewhat delicate, but overall functions as it should. The LCD display is fairly easy to read, but the "XUNTOP" logo and text on the front is done in some strange decorative reflective color, and it's quite distracting when looking at the screen. Overall, the indicator gets a "meh" and I wouldn't expect it to be super durable, but it could be useful depending on your application.

I really like the magnetic stand and holder. The magnet is very strong and holds firm when attached. The adjustment knob for moving the arm joints around is pretty good, but I wish it was slightly bigger. Sometimes it can feel difficult to get a good grip when tightening it down, but otherwise the entire mechanism works well. The indicator holder is also good and works great. With everything tight, the holder feels very rigid and there isn't any slop. It requires a good amount of force to make it budge.

Overall I think the kit is a good value, particularly if you don't already have an indicator.

Dieses Set besteht im Prinzip aus drei Teilen, die ich der Reihe nach rezensieren möchte:
Messuhr:
Das Gehäuse der Messuhr besteht aus Aluminium und hat eine Kunststoffummantelung. Dadurch ist sie stabil und jederzeit präzise. Wie andere Rezensenten bereits bemerkten, besteht die optionale Halterung der Rückseite aus Kunststoff, was theoretisch zu Messabweichungen durch Durchbiegungen etc. führen kann. Allerdings sind die Kräfte, die auf die Uhr einwirken, so minimal, dass dies zu vernachlässigen ist.
Die Messuhr arbeitet sauber und frei von jeglichem Spiel. Die Wiederholgenauigkeit ist perfekt und kann hier nichts zum Meckern finden. Lediglich die Frage, ob es für diesen Zweck unbedingt eine elektronische Uhr sein muss, soll erlaubt sein. Für die üblichen Zwecke tun es genauso gut auch mechanische Uhren (zum Anzeigen von Rundlauf etc. sind die sogar besser geeignet), die zudem auch ohne Ersatzbatterien immer bereit sind.
Magnetische Basis (Fuß):
Diese kann auf Metall (z.B. der Fräse oder Drehbank) gestellt werden - durch einfaches Umlegen des Schalters haftet sie fest magnetisch am Werkzeug. Das Umschalten geht leicht und die magnetische Kraft ist wirklich enorm. Da gibt es nichts zu meckern - am Arm leider doch.
Der Arm:
Der Arm ist so leider das schlechteste, was ich je gesehen habe. Er läuft hakelig und die zentrale Schraube zum Feststellen funktioniert eher schlecht. Selbst bei sehr fest gedrehter Schraube kann ich das Ende noch (mit etwas Kraftaufwand) noch bewegen. Die guten Exemplare mit Zentralklemmung die ich sonst kenne, funktionieren hydraulisch und diese lassen sich leicht feststellen und lösen und sie halten bombenfest die Position. An der Messuhr gibt es nichts zu meckern, daher würde ich empfehlen, sich einen guten Magnetfuß und diese Messuhr (gibt es vom selben Anbieter auch einzeln) getrennt / separat zu kaufen um die bestmögliche Kombination zu erhalten.

I picked this up for a looming vehicle repair that hasn't happened yet, so for now I can only offer first impressions after playing around with it a bit. Long story short, I think it'll work, but I'm not impressed by the build quality. I'm giving it 4 stars only because I don't find any specific flaws that will prevent me from getting the job done, and for the price its not bad.
First, the unboxing - The first thing that hits you is that characteristic smell of that oil that comes, or used to come on cheap tools (I haven't experienced that in a while). I had to put this thing out in the garage with the case open for several days to air out, and it still smells. Moving on though... The dial indicator itself seems like it works well enough, although I kept having to re-zero it because it kept moving a thousandth of an inch. My guess is that has more to do with the base though. The base seems kind of iffy. It has one knob to tighten all three joints on the arm. You have to tighten it quite a bit, and then the outer section still isn't that secure. It'll probably hold well enough to do the job, but it doesn't inspire confidence. The magnet base isn't very strong. Again, it will probably do the job, but don't bump it because it might just fall off. 132 pounds?? I don't think so. And yes, I had the lever in the right position.
Like I said, I think this will probably work just well enough for me to do the job I need it for, but that's about it.

As a full contraption, it gives a good end to end digital measurement around the 350 degree angle. The disappointment for me was the artriculating arm that feels quite weak and the clamping knob is quite small and difficult to use. That said, you can use the lcd screen to alternate between metric and imperial measurements and it has many use case settings including the calibration within 3d printers for example with its pinpoint accuracy. It’s certainly a versatile unit to that tune and I’d definitely come back to it for a good value solution for a complex product here.
