Simple Upgrade for a Classic Console

- Reviewed in Canada on June 27, 2025Verified PurchaseCable is a bit short is my only complaint. Video and audio signal works perfectly. No more need for RCA adapters!
- Reviewed in Canada on June 18, 2025This cable worked as well as my other HDMI adapter which, was very good. The color and clarity were identical. The color was similarly off but you won't notice after using for a while. The clarity resulted in rough edges but super-sampling takes care of much of that. It'll never be as good as an analog signal to a CRT. But that is a physical limitation.
I connected the cable to a HDMI signal changer that then goes to my projector 25ft cable length away. A benefit of this cable was that the analog signal was changed to digital so it can be transmitted over longer distances without signal degradation.
An important difference between this cable and my other adapter was that my other one had an audio port. Which I needed because my HDMI went to the projector. And my amp did not take HDMI. This cable was sleeker than my adapter but the lack of a separate audio port made this useless in my setup.
My rating reflects that my problem was niche.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 21, 2025I used this Neoteck Wii to HDMI converter to connect my Wii to a modern 4k OLED tv and it worked perfectly. It really is plug and play, no setup, no drivers, no extra steps. Just connect it to the Wii and plug the HDMI end into your TV. The console was recognized right away.
The adapter outputs up to 1080p, and while it doesn’t magically upscale Wii graphics, the signal is clean and stable. Games look as good as they possibly can on a big screen, and I didn’t notice any input lag while playing. It supports all Wii display modes like 480i, 480p, and 576i, so everything ran smoothly.
The built-in 5-foot HDMI cable is convenient and helps keep things tidy without needing an extra cable or adapters. It’s compact and easy to store or hang when not in use. Just note it’s not compatible with the Wii Mini.
Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want to play Wii games on a modern TV. Simple, effective, and does exactly what it promises.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 12, 2025The Neoteck Wii to HDMI Converter 1080P is a solid pickup if you're trying to bring your older consoles into the modern era. I got it for both my Wii and GameCube, and it worked out of the box — no need for a dongle, extra power, or adapters. Just plug it in and go.
The build quality is solid, and the cable length is practical. Upscaling from 480p to 1080p isn’t perfect, but it’s a noticeable improvement. Compared to my old adapter that added fuzz and artifacts, this one delivers a cleaner, smoother image and sound through a single HDMI cable.
What I liked:
Clean video output from Wii/GameCube
No extra power or converters needed
Solid build quality
What I didn’t like:
Nothing. I don't think it can get any better than this.
Final Thoughts:
Great low-cost way to revive your Wii or GameCube for modern TVs. Easy plug-and-play with a big quality bump over cheap dongles.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 7, 2025This Neoteck wii to hdmi converter works perfectly!
I’ve tried other adapters, some had video interference with wavy lines or audio distortion. This Neoteck converter had zero video or audio interference.
Simple plug and play, no blocky adapters protruding out the wii console and no external power necessary. It simply works like a standard cable.
The only issue I encountered was the adapter plug (the hdmi end) does get rather warm over time. Considering the component to hdmi converter is inside that part it’s understandable. But I had no issues whatsoever.
I’m more than happy with this converter.
Pros:
Crystal clear image
Simple plug and play
No external power needed
No video or audio interference
Cons:
The one end of the cable, the hdmi plug, does get rather warm over time.
The perfect converter if your tv only has hdmi inputs.
I’ll update my review if I encounter any issues down the line.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 2, 2025I wanted to connect my old Wii to a modern TV that doesn't have the old connector type. I dusted off the Wii and connected it to the tv using this cable.
It did work but I can't help but feel that some things are a little off on the video side of things. The Wii has never been high high-resolution but using this cable I found that the picture was a touch more blurry than I remember and some odd letterboxing was happening, seemed like the games weren't using the full screen.
With that said, it did allow me to run my Wii on the TV, the picture is still really good but perhaps I'm used to running it on old TVs and newer high-def TVs don't help the Wii picture any. It says 1080P in the description, but I don't believe the Wii supports that and it certainly doesn't upscale so on a larger TV, Wii games look pretty rough. The audio seemed to be fine, I didn't have any issues.
Overall... it worked as I expected, the picture was fine, the audio was good, and it met most of my expectations.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 18, 2025FINALLY AN ALL IN ONE!
I’m so happy with the quality of the cord itself. No longer will you have to get a converter cable that has to be plugged into a USB port to output to HDMI!
It works with my original Wii, and can finally hook it up to modern TVs without having to waste 1 USB slot to do so. When you plug the back port of the Wii, the HDMI side will glow with a red dot light to show its working.
Wii & GameCube gaming here I come!!!
Great Build. Does what’s intended. 10/10

- Reviewed in Canada on June 24, 2025This is an excellent way to bring your Wii into the future. I had recently updated my surround receiver and lost the ability to hook up my Wii. Thankfully I found this adapter. It’s been great playing my Wii again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ein sinnvolles Upgrade um die Wii spontan an moderne Fernseher anzuschließen

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cable for use on a modern tv
Verified PurchaseThis cable provides a clearer picture than both the composite to HDMI adapters out there but also those wii to HDMI adapters that plug into the wii. One thing to note is that this cable does not have internal upscaling and because of that it provides a 480p output. That being said the 480p output you get from this cable is much better than the 480i you would get with composite cables. There is no noticeable input lag at all.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy solution for newer TVs
Review for Neoteck Wii to HDMI converter:
Works great for us. Our Wii had been sitting unused because our newer TV has only HDMI and composite inputs. Nice to get the Wii running again!
