- Reviewed in Canada on March 28, 2025Verified PurchaseEasily a game demonstrates who has the best memory. Even though I would play with younger family members, I find my self getting too overconfident in my memory and end up losing my progress haha. It’s easy to pick up and choosing to play this fast and risky may just be pushing your luck.
We enjoy it thoroughly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply the Best Memory Game
Verified PurchaseThis is simply the best variant of a simple memory game out there. Easy to learn, teach, and play - a game great for all ages. A great family game. Fantastic quality components. Reiner Knizia elegantly introduces a few new gameplay mechanics that turns a simple memory game into something great.
It has a push your luck type element as you need a certain number of matches to take certain treasures. Dragons stop your turn u less you can collect only dragons. Spiders end your turn and move around. The player with the most dragon tiles gets the 3 spiders at the end of the game. The player who collected the most wins.
The game is quick and fun. A light game, that may be a bit too “simple” for some adults, but this is actually a memory style game that I really enjoy. (Even if my kids win all the time.) Wonderful game. Highly recommend and that is How Lou Sees It.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable Dragon Treasure Themed Memory Game With Fun and Strategic Twists. Great Quality Tiles
This review is for the FoxMind Games Treasure of The Dragons memory game. I received a free taxable sample of this game in my search for a fun game for family night.
The game comes in a nice branded 8 ½” x 8 ½” x 2” box that’s decorated to the dragon treasure theme with the center of the box sectioned off into four sections that can be used to store the game tiles. There are two sheets of instructions, one in English and one in French, that do a good job of explaining the memory gameplay and the special twists around the types of treasure tiles, the Dragon tiles, and the Spider tiles. Gameplay revolves around the 49 game tiles which are made out of thick cardboard and printed on both sides with vibrant imagery in a matte finish. The game tiles have an average weight of 6 grams and measure 2 ½” x 2 ½” with a thickness slightly under ⅛”. There are three main categories of game tiles: treasure tiles (8x Gold Chests, 6x Legendary Swords, 4x Enchanted Scrolls, 4x Magic Potions, 4x Golden Dragon Eggs, and 8x Diamonds); 8x Dragon tiles; and 3x Spider tiles.
There is no game board and setting up the game is a simple matter of creating a 7x7 facedown grid of the game tiles. The main objective of the game is to hold the greatest number of game tiles by the time only the three Spider tiles remain on the game field. Play is turn-based with each player turning over tiles until they choose to end their turn, encounter a Spider tile, or turn over a Dragon tile after turning over their first tile. One of the interesting core twists to this game is that the player loses all of the tiles they turned over in a turn if they encounter a Spider tile at any time or encounter a Dragon tile as anything past the first tile they turn. I liked that potentially losing all of your tiles injected a sort of risk vs. reward aspect and that it allowed players to play to the style they felt most comfortable with. Some of the younger testers really enjoyed turning over as many tiles as they could whereas some of the other testers would stop once they had made a match. One of the other neat twists to this game is that some of the treasure tiles were an instant match of one (such as Diamonds) whereas other treasure tiles required three matching tiles (Legendary Swords) or four matching tiles (Gold Chests).
Our family really enjoyed playing this game and liked that it was easy to learn and that it was structured in a way that everyone had a chance to win. The younger testers liked the added dimension where you could deliberately collect the cool looking Dragon tiles if the first tile you turned over was a Dragon tile. As it turned out, there were many times where the special rule awarding all three Spider cards to the holder of the most Dragon cards made for a thrilling come from behind victory.
All in all, this is a great quality game that’s easy to learn and has quite a few fun gameplay twists. I recommend this as a fantastic option for a memory game that you can play for family night.

5.0 out of 5 stars Engaging with kids
This is one of those kids games that's not a chore. It's fun and there's challenge for everyone. It's not really something to bring out without kids but it offers a good balance of luck, skill available to all ages, and some things to think about. Do you keep pushing? How challenging of a set do you want to go for. I've finally met a memory game I like.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun, visually appealing game for a family
A fun, simple game. My kids loved it, even if the older one seemed unimpressed at first (it was "for little kids"). It was fun enough for the youngest one that he quickly changed his tune.
My kids range from 3 to 9 and even the 3 year old understood the core concept. The game might not have been the same for her, but she still got something out of it.
Fun game for kids (and adults).
