Camera stopped working after 3 months of use. I've checked all the connections over and over again but the camera will not power on. Seller has been quick to respond and Currently helping me to problem solve the issue. My issue turned out to be the base that the camera slides into the port possibly combined with the heat build up in the vehicle on warm days and the strain of the cable plugged into it got loose and the connection was very hard to keep. The seller communicated quickly with me and even offered a full refund which I greatly appreciate.

I have been using those front and rear car cameras for few years and never thought about a front, rear, and inside camera. It comes with 3 static transparent stickers for installation which makes it quite easy to relocate when installing it wrong. However, for the rear, I just use install it directly on to the window as sometimes I found those static stickers are not strong enough when the trunk has to move up and down with sometimes the cord caught into something and pull it downwards. It comes with a long cables which was enough to go from the front camera to the rear window so that I don’t have to play with the car’s electrical wires to give power to the rear camera. The quality of the videos are excellent no complaint at all. All the connections are USBC which I really like so that I don’t have to worry about which side is up or down like micro usb. Touch screen is very responsive and setup was easy. However, for $460, it is just super pricey for adding an inside camera. I also found that when the car is shut off, it turned off immediately. A lot of dashcam would have a internal battery to helps continue recording for 10 seconds when it shut off, but this one doesn’t have this feature. Otherwise, clear videos and super wide angle of the inside camera, everything works great.

The Wolfbox X5 dash cam is a high quality device and has all of the features you would expect to find on a device of this caliber.

The dash cam uses a memory card for storage. It is recommended that you use a U3 class 10 memory card with 32 GB or more if you are looking to expand the storage.

One of the first things you notice when looking at the dash cam is that it has a 2.35" IPS display with a touch screen to allow you to control aspects of the operation using swipes and touches. There are also some physical buttons at the top of the unit (a menu button, left and right arrows and an ok button). The screen offers a useful way to playback videos that you have taken quickly and effortlessly. The dash cam supports 3 different simultaneous camera channels which can all record. The main front facing camera can record at 4k resolution, the inside camera records at 1080p and the rear camera can do 2.5K resolution. The dash cam has a starvis 2 sensor built-in as well to improve the quality of the images captured, especially in low light conditions such as night time.

The device has 8GB of DDR3 ram and includes a 128GB storage card. When the storage is full, the oldest videos will be overwritten if they are not locked in order to protect them.

The internal GPS capability can be used to store your location coordinates along with your recordings, and a G sensor is available to detect acceleration.

You will also find a feature that not all dash cams tend to have which is a parking mode where you can have the camera continue to operate while the vehicle is parked and turned off. However, this will require an additional wiring kit in order to provide power to the dash cam separately.

To power the camera you can use a USB Type-C cable which will plug into your vehicle's cigarette lighter port. There is a rear camera as well that gets connected using USB. A high end cable is provided for this task and it is long enough to reach the rear of the vehicle.

You can install the official Wolfbox app which connects via Wi-Fi. With the app you can view the videos that are stored on the dash cam and even edit or share them. Since it connects directly to the Wi-Fi over a 5Ghz band it is able to access the videos with good bandwidth and download or stream them quickly.

Another handy feature is that the unit can also be controlled by some voice commands, allowing you to keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel. For instance, you can command the dash cam to take a picture or recording as needed or to lock the video to prevent it from being accidentally deleted.

I feel that they have thought about everything when designing this device. Even the packaging has a premium feel to it, and you can tell care was taken when making it. They even include some wolfbox stickers (in black and orange colour) for you to show your pride in the product.

Some people may desire a larger screen, but for me, I appreciate that it does not block the view of my windshield.
