    This is an attractive, impressively heavy set of glass storage containers with lids that clamp down via plastic fins. The closures are tight. I got these to replace the plastic storage bins we have always used since I am learning more and more about microplastics and their ubiquity in the human body. These glass containers are uniform in size and each holds more than most of the plastic containers I am used to using. We have reconfigured out cabinet storage area to handle these. They require more space and thought than the easy to store plastic containers that could be tossed into a bottom drawer. These are weighty, prone to breakage, and take up more room because they don’t stack inside of each other.
    These glass storage containers are advertised as dishwasher and microwave safe, meaning that they are made withstand the extremes delivered by these devices. So far, this seems true. I wish that there was no plastic at all on the lids, however, since we shifted to glass to get away from plastic. I have washed these in the dishwasher and they came through fine. I have microwaved leftovers with a lid laid loosely on top of the bottom portion of the container. There was no warping of the plastic closure fins, though the five minutes I warmed my food might not be the best test.
    Overall, these seem like a good value; each glass container is priced at just below $5 as I write. This set would make a nice present for someone setting up a kitchen. The multicolored lids provide the opportunity for color-coding of contents, and make using this set kind of fun.
