First, this is NOT a truly official soccer ball... it reminds me a lot of the playground balls I've seen at big box stores in the big cages. It's a decent ball, but don't expect a "soccer" ball type feel.

Second, it does really "play" like a soccer ball. Because of the lights I guess and the materials, it feels more like a playground ball than a soccer ball.

Both of these are NOT bad things... they are just something to be aware of. This is really a playground ball that lights up and looks like a soccer. With that out of the way... it's a really good playground ball. It lights up bright, the kids have already had a game in the backyard in the snow with it. The idea of it glowing at night makes it a lot of fun to use. I am really looking forward to some late night camping soccer games with it. I can see how this would be a huge amount of fun on summer nights.

Overall, it's a good ball... does what it says it does... but like I said, don't expect a TRUE soccer ball. If you keep that in mind, you'll not be disappointed.

This glow-in-the-dark soccer ball is a really fun addition to evening playing, and my son loves it. The LED lights activate with each kick or tap, making it perfect for evening play or darker winter afternoons when the sun sets earlier. The lights are bright and eye-catching, adding a fun challenge and excitement for kids and adults alike. My son loves it, and even I have to admit it’s pretty cool to see it light up during a pass or shot.

The ball itself is made from a thick, rubber material that feels durable but doesn’t quite match the feel of a real soccer ball. It’s grippy and a bit bouncy, more like a kickball disguised as a soccer ball. That said, the official size 5 makes it easy to use for casual games, and it seems like it can hold up to outdoor use just fine with no obvious issues after about an hour of playing with it.

The setup is straightforward—it comes with a small hand pump, pre-installed batteries, and a spare set along with a tool for swapping them out. This is a nice touch since you don’t have to hunt for extras right away. However, my one criticism is about the button batteries - I wish they’d used rechargeable ones instead. They’ve offset this concern a bit by including two spare sets, but rechargeable would have been more convenient.

Great for kids that enjoy soccer, and makes a great gift idea. It’s unique, engaging, and makes play more fun, especially in the evenings.

Cons:
Doesn’t feel quite like a standard soccer ball, weight and kick feel off a bit, but kids wont notice.
Button batteries : ( instead of rechargeable batteries.

Final Thought: Tone of fun for kids and casual play, and really makes even play more exciting!

It blew up just fine with the included pump. He and his cousin played with it in the dark basement. It’s about the size of a regular soccer ball and is made of very tough rubber. They said it was harder than a regular soccer ball, so hurt their sock feet a little when they kicked it. I imagine it’s fine with shoes on outside. But it glows great and shuts off when not in motion.. verdict - thumbs up

My 13-year-old son is soccer-obsessed, so the BATURU Glow in the Dark Soccer Ball has been a huge hit! We had to wait until the weather warmed up but now it's perfect for those gloomy days when it gets dark early, or even for playing after the sun goes down. The two LED lights make it super easy to see, and it comes with six spare batteries, which is a definite plus. It also includes a pump, so we were ready to go right out of the box. It's a fun way to keep him active, even when the weather isn't ideal. Definitely a great gift for any young soccer player!

This soccer ball exceeded my expectations. I was thinking it would be like the listing stated, a glow in the dark ball with some kind of special color sensitive material. I didn't realize how bright the LED lights would make the ball. It is a glowing soccer ball, it's so much more than just glow in the dark. The small pump that it comes with fills the ball surprisingly quickly and it even comes with replacement lights and instructions on how to install them. I got this for my 6 year old so the ball size is a little big for him but he loves playing with it in the dark. It's winter now so I limit soccer in the house but I'm really looking forward to playing with him and his brother this spring after soccer practice, when the outside light wains but my kids want to keep playing. One more note, I was worried about how to turn the light on and off but it's motion activated and the light comes on when you kick it. It also shuts off fairly quickly, not so quickly that it'll go dark in the middle of playing with it but not so long that you're worried about it staying on and burning out the batteries. If you like to play soccer at dusk or after dark this is a great ball and very giftable!
