This smart screen is a great gadget. It has upgraded my car. My car didn't have Apple Car Play but now with this screen I have Apple Car Play, front dash cam, rear cam, screen mirroring and all features you get with Apple Car Play.
You can make phone calls, have messages read and send messages with voice commands. Siri/Google works perfectly, it has Android Auto as well.
It comes with 64GB micro SD card. All dash cam features are there, it can be used with or without rear cam, didn't get chance to install rear cam yet, but I tested and it works well.

It was easy to set up, basically plug and play, then you just have to spend some time to mount, sync with your phone etc. (keeps you occupied). Setting up is easy you plug it and then follow on screen instructions. There is manual as well but on screen instructions were good enough to guide you setting up without reading full manual. If you haven't use Apple Car play before then this will become your new pass time when you are in the car to play around while waiting (not driving).
Google maps, apple maps, waze, whatsapp, etc. all apps works well.

You can have audio played to car stereo with aux cable (included).

There are two ways to mount Smart Screen, you can mount on your windshield like any other phone holder or stick it to your dash board, the windshield suction is very strong and sturdy, doesn't come off very easily.

The rear camera has clarity like front camera, you can calibrate it easily.
I tried to show the picture quality and features in pics and a small video, sorry for the reflections, it was too bright outside and I took pics/videos while waiting in parking lot.

Definitely recommended.

Unfortunately the internal battery is COMPLETELY dead. I have to power it up externally and let it charge for a minute or two before turning it on. If I do that, I can get what I need out of it. But if you turn it on too fast it just goes into a loop of on/off cycles that you can't stop.

The Volam 9'' Carplay Screen with 4K Dash Cam and 1080p Backup Camera offers a decent range of features, but my experience with it was a mixed bag. While the screen size is generous and the display is decently responsive, the overall manufacturing quality leaves much to be desired.

One of the first issues I encountered was with the top mounts, which weren’t properly cut. Installing the stands was incredibly difficult due to this, making the setup process frustrating and time-consuming.

Additionally, the reverse camera was poorly designed; the cable was manufactured on the wrong side, causing it to sit awkwardly and display the image upside down if installed as intended. This was a major oversight that made using the backup camera more of a hassle than a help.

Speaking of the cameras, while their quality is just okay, the reverse camera’s static lines are placed too high and don’t move, which significantly reduces their usefulness when backing up. It’s disappointing that such a crucial feature was executed so poorly.

Another frustration was the lack of a recording SD card, despite what seemed to be a misleading image in the product description. This omission meant I had to purchase one separately, which I wasn’t expecting.

On the brighter side, the CarPlay functionality works very well, making it easy to integrate with my phone, and the features overall are quite nice. However, I was disappointed that I couldn’t use a keyboard to search for songs on Spotify, forcing me to rely solely on Siri voice commands, which isn’t always convenient.

In summary, while the Volam Carplay Screen has a good display and a solid feature set, the poor manufacturing quality and a few key design flaws really detract from the overall experience. If these issues were addressed, it could be a great product, but as it stands, there are just too many frustrations to fully recommend it.

It’s not often I am blown away by a new toy, but this unit absolutely excels. The screen is Nice and bright With a very high-quality feel similar to what you’d expect on an iPhone.

Installation was easier than expected. There are a couple different mounts that come with the unit. Some are two-way tape that’s a bit more permanent others have a sort of gel that is removable..

Both front and rear cameras are exceptional, even with low light. Rear camera triggering is done off of your reverse lights If you’re not a DIY type person, definitely have someone professionally install this if you want the backup Camera.

As far as CarPlay performance goes, it’s on par with pretty much any OEM vehicle I’ve driven screen is very responsive.

Installation was easier than expected. There are a couple different mounts that come with the unit. Some are two-way tape that’s a bit more permanent others have a sort of gel that is removable..

Both front and rear cameras are exceptional, even with low light. Rear camera triggering is done off of your reverse lights If you’re not a DIY type person, definitely have someone professionally install this if you want the backup Camera.

As far as CarPlay performance goes, it’s on par with pretty much any OEM vehicle I’ve driven screen is very responsive.

I was looking for a camera to mount in my 350Z ticket red car to document actual speed etc. I found this unit and discovered that for the price of a camera set up I could get connection for phone/ blue tooth/ GPS etc. A heck of a bargin! While it requires you to actually Read The Fine Manual (RTFM) to understand how to get the benifits of the device, it is time well spent.
It comes with a number of mounting options and I was able to find a combination to fit my 350Z. Well worth the money! Can't recommend enough!
