Let me start with my setup: I own a LED TV with only 3 HDMI ports, but I��ve got two game consoles, a media stream player (Fire TV Stick), a TV PVR Box, and a Blue Ray Disc Player. I was tired of playing manual HDMI cable switching activities behind my TV cabinet. Honestly I am happy with UGREEN��s 5-in-1-out HDMI Switch.

Why I Need It
1. Port Overload Crisis: Five inputs finally let me plug in everything. My TV now uses just one HDMI port, freeing up the others for my soundbar and a backup.
2. 4K/120Hz Anxiety: I am tired of a cheap HDMI switcher that turned my video game��s shadow details into muddy soup. This one promised "8K@60Hz, 4K@240Hz, HDR10+", more than enough for now.

The Good, The Bad, and The "Meh"
What Works
1. No Compromise on Quality:
- PS5 gaming at 4K@120Hz felt buttery smooth. My TV��s Game Mode confirmed the refresh rate.
- Online streaming in 4K Dolby Vision looked stunning: zero difference from a direct TV connection.
2. Remote Control Rocks: I no longer need to reach behind the TV for switching. The remote works in the dark, and switching takes 2-3 seconds for a game console of mine.
3. Cool Under Pressure: Aluminum body stayed warm, not hot, during a 5-hour heavy video gaming. No crashes, unlike my old plastic switcher.

What Could be Better
1.No Auto-Switching. If I leave my PVR on for music only mode and boot up the PS5, nothing happens as there is no auto switch. Misplaced the remote once and found it is very inconvenient without it.
2. Power cord chaos: Requires constant external power. The included adapter adds yet another cable to my TV��s nest of wires. Unplug it, and the whole thing turns off.
3. HDMI cable snobbery: My 3-meter "high-speed" HDMI cable caused random PS5 blackouts. Switched to the included 1-meter cable, and issues vanished. Had to splurge on a Fiber HDMI cable for longer reach.

Buy It If:
- You��re drowning in HDMI devices (especially next-gen consoles).
- You��re a frame-rate/resolution purist (competitive gaming or Blu-ray movies).
- You can tolerate manual switching and extra cables.

Skip It If:
- You dream of "magic" auto-switching (this ain��t it).
- Your TV cabinet already looks like a spider��s web (this thing adds cable chaos, but that��s the problem with too many devices anyways).

Final Verdict: A Tool, Not a Miracle
This switcher fixes the HDMI port crisis without flair. Picture quality? Great. Convenience? Eh. The manual switching and power cord feel like relics. If you��re drowning in HDMI hell and refuse to sacrifice performance, go for it. But if your gear isn��t pushing 4K/120Hz, or you��re on a budget, there are other lower-end options available.

Look elsewhere, this was meant to address my current situation of three 4 k/120/60/HDR sources and only 2 full bandwidth 4K input on my Sony. I have an older audio processor with only hdmi 1.4....so have been running my video straight to TV, This thing did not seem to work reliably, it would switch sometimes, other times you had to switch back and forth among the 4 inputs to get it to respond and sync up, particularly with PS5. If you had 3 sources powered on and tried to switch between them, then it turned into an unreliable mess. basically destabilized the hdmi system. The construction quality seems ok , that's about all I can praise here. The units indicator lights are a bit too tiny....normally i wouldnt want more light, but compared to other basis indicators in my av rack, you can barely see these. It also gets *very* hot. Returned and going back to 3 hdmi runs to 4KTV for now...may try one of the Orei units, we'll see.

Ok I have to say having use multiple HDMI switches in the past This is by far the best one I've ever had and will be buying a few more. What sets this apart from others is that it actually works. Others I've used tend to lose the signal and you spend more time fiddling with the switch trying to get signal but often to no avail. This one right out of the box worked flawlessly it does have a slight delay in between inputs but it works it has a solid feel and the remote works well too. I would not look anywhere else if you're looking for a switch sure it is a little on the pricey side but it's worth it to not have to deal with an item that doesn't work This one just works. I have not checked to see if the HDMI output performs above 60 hz just because I don't have a monitor that performs above that so maybe someone else has some insight on that

I don��t know if it lives up to all its technical claims, but I can say that it works for me. My TV only has 4 HDMI inputs. They were all being used, then I went and bought my grandson a PS5 for Xmas, and needed another input port. The Switch, Apple TV, �鶹�� FireCube, and Sonos Arc took up the existing ports. I had the Apple TV unplugged for a while. Then plugged both the Apple TV and the Switch into the HDMI switcher and it works just fine. Whatever is switched on last wants to take over, or you can switch between the inputs. I��ve had no issues with it whatsoever so far.
