I have used a lot of carpet rakes in the past. This one is ok. It's not real wide but that's actually good for getting into smaller areas. It does rake carpet but not as good as a professional rake. Mainly cause it is come type of rubber and not of a stiff broom material. Does not damage the carpet, and does work. A must have for deep cleaning carpet and removing spots. For the money you can't beat it. Haven't used the squeegee but it appears that it would do it. A nice feature to have. The handle is a little flimsy but nothing that I am concerned about. It does extend and for a average height person this will be just fine. About the same size as an average broom handle. For the money I am satisfied. It does remove pet hair. But my main reason for buying it is to achieve a deeper level of cleaning when used in combination with my carpet machine.
