Set schedules in the Cync app so you can cool the house down before bed and wake up to a warm room. The Cync Smart Thermostat is compatible with most residential heating and cooling systems. Add Cync Room Temperature Sensors (sold separately) and set your preferred temperature in the room you're in during different times of the day.

    This thing sounded like an easy install or replacement of your old cheap Honeywell thermostat with two wires. Upon opening the box, there are 8 wires that needs to be connected for the thing to work. Definitely not a thing you install by yourself.

    This smart thermostat is very similar to other smart thermostats I have seen in my life. The design is similar to an Ecobee, and the build quality is what I would expect from a company like GE. Installation was a breeze for someone like me who has swapped a few thermostats, however it may be a bit much for some people. The instruction manual does a good job of explaining which colour wires do what, it's just a game of putting the wires in the right pins.

    I already had the CYNC app installed for the other devices I have, so this was as simple as adding another device. The scheduler was easy to use, and I've noticed that the thermostat will kick in when the temperature has dropped or increased a full degree which should help save a bit of energy.

    Super easy to set-up, wirks good, the app is nice, the only drawback I would mention is ot doesn't do half of a degree, only whole numbers. Other than that, the price point beats Nest and Ecobee all day long.

    I owned NEST and Ecobee smart thermostats before and I would say this GE Cync smart thermostat has the same major functionality as those two big brands with much cheaper cost. The Cync smart thermostat is compatible with Google home and Alexa; the APP is also user friendly. The most importable two functions for a smart thermostat is 1. Able to change the temperature away from home; 2. Set schedules for the temperature. This GE Cync smart thermostat got these two functions, and they work well.
    Additional temperature sensor is recommended if you want to set the temperature at different times of day in your chosen room.
    Overall, this is a great energy saving product with affordable price. I would highly recommend it.
