I cut a lot of wood, and it’s a pain in the butt to get around some big logs, and this will clear the area in no time. I have it installed on a stihl gas weed whacker.     - It did NOT fit my older Troy-Bilt string weeder without making a special adapter spacer ring (not included). This kit was designed for Husqvarna, Stihl, etc., but not Troy-Bilt.
    - It could be incredibly dangerous if you don't keep it under firm control and away from body parts. Hey! It is a "spinning wheel of death," as my nephew calls it. Never let children or incompetent adults use them. (Buy them soon, I expect some bureaucrat will try to "protect us" by considering these as being too dangerous and getting them banned.)

    PROS
    - On the other hand (once I fabricated a special adapter spacer ring) it cuts weeds, brush, saplings, and - if you are patient and can keep control of the beast - small trees up to 75mm (3") in diameter. Saplings up to 13mm (1/2") doesn't appear to even slow it down. Maybe not as good as a LightSaber, but probably just as much fun. (This may be dependent on the power of your machine.)

    The trick to cutting larger trees is to maintain your advance directly toward the center of the blade. (It's a force vector thing.) If you are off to one side, the blade will climb out of the cut at high speed. Make sure you keep some distance from you to anyone else out there with you.

    - Reeds, brambles, thorny vines, and the like get cut like they weren't there, but can get tangled up in the blade guard (part of the original Troy-Bilt machine). Not a problem, but don't try to clear them with the blade spinning.

    - I've cleared brush in rough terrain with a large number of limestone rocks for a while now and still have all of the teeth. This includes a number of hard ground contacts. The teeth still appear to be "reasonably sharp." Nevertheless, consider the blades as a consumable and expect to replace them eventually.

    Buy them while you can if you have a need for them. I've enjoyed mine enough to buy a few more.
