Smart Chip & Manual Release Key

  • The “auto-close” function ultimately secures the property after you leave.
  • Reverses upon first obstruction and stops upon the second sequential obstruction during gate operation. Adjust the stall force to get your desired open / close obstruction sensitivity. Higher stall force level, lower obstruction sensitivity.
  • Soft start and soft stop ensure a long-lasting performance.
  • The above modules can be adjusted on the smart control panel directly.
  • Equipped with manual release key in case of power outage or when you lose your remote.

Gate Capability

  • A8132 gate opener works well for the heavy duty dual swing gate up to a maximum of 5.5m in length (correspondingly 110kg in weight) per gate leaf.
  • Suitable for the swing gate up to 400kg in weight (correspondingly 1.2m in length) per gate leaf.
  • Kindly note that the max. gate length capability is inversely proportional to the gate weight.

Fantastic gate opener
This gate opener kit installed this kit myself and it was straight forward my duel gates are push to open. What I like about this kit is that they are quite, I live on an island 🏝 with salt water 💧 and there is no signs of corrosion. I had GTO Muel 502 before and had nothing but problems.

    The media could not be loaded.
    After researching swing gate openers on 鶹 I purchased the Topens A8132 Heavy Duty Dual Swing Gate opener. I actually purchased the opener prior to building my fence with the gates. The reason behind this was a customer posted there is a crucial 4" measurement from the center of the gate pivot hinge to the center of the post pivot bracket. I needed one gate to open 90° and the other gate open at least 120°. Everything comes in the box. All items are very well built from the actuators to the control boxes. I also purchased an Electric Lock ET24 and a Key Pad. You might want to read the instructions twice before you actually do the install but they are pretty straightforward. It takes about a good Full day to completely install the gate opener and have it up and running. It does work very well and was definitely worth the money. A few months later I did have an issue with the soft stop it wouldn't continuously connect into the electric lock. The customer service at Topens are very helpful, they walk you through troubleshooting and they shipped out a new circuit board and it works great. A few months after that the limit switch on one of the arms was not working properly, again customer service walked you through troubleshooting and they shipped out a new limit switch the next day. They're very quick on their service. Changing out the circuit board or the limit switch is very simple to do. Instructions for the limit switch would have been a little more helpful but if you can put the whole gate system together you'll have no problem changing out a limit switch. Even though there was a few minor problems the Swing Gate Opener is definitely well worth the money and a Awesome purchase.

    Gate opener was fairly easy to install. It did take a bit of time to align and fasten gate openers and make sure they opened far enough, and closed together evenly, but they work good with my 7x9 ft heavy (solid panel) gates. The motors don't seem to struggle at all with opening or closing considering the gates probably weigh 300 plus lbs each. Price point is great compared to other brands and I like the options with this model to run on AC, or DC (24volt). I have stable AC power nearby, but will connect 2 -12 volt batteries in series to operate the gates in case power goes out. Comes with 2 key fob openers, but I also purchased the wifi remote TC196 so I can connect and control who comes and goes into my property. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for gate openers.

    I had high hopes for the TOPENS A8132 Gate Opener. Let’s just say, it’s an experience you won’t forget (mainly because your gate will never close reliably again).
    This opener is listed a being heavy duty, so I had a huge surprise when I found the actuators are made with a plastic ACME nut. Plastic! This thing can't withstand a gentle breeze on a 10 foot, 185lbs gate, let alone a proper gust of wind. The slightest force and these actuators turn into wobbly noodles.

    But wait, there's more! Fresh out of the box, I followed all directions and had to contact support when the gate would not operate correctly. After hours of troubleshooting, Topens diagnosed the opener with faulty circuit boards. Brand new, and already broken. Topens sent me a second circuit board, only to find out that it was also faulty . Support was quick to diagnose the new problems, which was both impressive and depressing. Impressive because they knew exactly what was wrong, and depressing because this happened in the first place.

    After replacing the circuit board a third time, the gate functioned OK for two days…, Then it started to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it refuses to close, leaving one gate awkwardly ajar. Other times, it will open halfway and just stop. I'm left sitting in my truck, wondering if I should nudge it with my bumper or just give up and climb over the fence.

    In short, the TOPENS A8132 Gate Opener is a masterclass in frustration and poor workmanship. It’s not worth the money, the headaches, or the constant calls to support. Save yourself the trouble and invest in something more reliable, like a sturdy rope to pull your gate open manually.. which is what you will be doing with this opener. Trust me, it will save you a lot of grief and it will provide a better workout.
    Overall, I am very disappointed in this system.

    The gate opener is easily installed after carefully reading the detailed instructions. I have the gate opener for two years and it works well. It is not of the most sturdy construction, but good value for money. What I like in particular is the flexibility of the system, you have several options for power supply and you can use that power supply (24V) for some other low power appliances, like lamps and cameras. This is not really advertised by Topens, but it works. They give amazing support and if anything doesn't work or if you do not understand something, they don't stop untill that is solved. I had a not functioning part in the beginning and it was replaced immediately, no return requested. After two years I had a failure that was my fault, and the part was quickly replaced for minimum cost. Truly remarkable. I would buy the gate opener again.

    Compared with Mighty Mule, which I have previously installed several times, this Topens is finicky and cheaply designed. The power supply and control board are in separate boxes, and need to be wired together. They sent one 12 V battery, even though they know it needs two 12 V batteries, since it runs on 24 V. And there is no enclosure provided for the batteries, so I had to make one myself!

    It is difficult to set up, since the open and close stops are mechanical rather than electronic. It is unreliable, sometimes not responding to the remote. I have spent at least five times as long working on it than on a comparable two gate Mighty Mule system.

    I am very pleased about this gate opener, especially consider the cost. However one of the arm came without lubrifiant. The customer service was really good to help me and it worked very well.
    I had it for one year and now this very same arm has sometimes issues to close entirely (1 out of 10). I probably have to lubricate it again... Despite this, I totally recommend this product if you are ready to maintain it yourself.

    First off, I’ll say that installing them does take so know how. I’ve been an engineer for 30+ years and nothing can stump me!

    Everything arrived on time and in the box. Electronics are very straight forward! Directions were great! No issues pairing the key chains! Easy to adjust all the settings two make the gates open and close to exactly the way I want. The install went as planned except for a few things. They supply you with two lengths of brackets for setting the geometry. One is about 6” from center and the other is 4”. My gate had to be 5” to work. Not a problem for me as I cut them down, welded them and all is good. Biggest complaint is when the motors are extended all the way to open the gates, they have a good bit of slop in them. My guess is they have a poor design of bushings and probably shortened the arms for a better universal fit. When I checked how much the arm had left before it ran off the threads it was about two turns/ about two full threads. That’s a concern! At this point the arms are sloppy! Next is the pins that hold the motors to the mounts. 1/2” standard pins measure fine. About .002” of an inch small. The holes in the brackets and about .005” over because they stamp the hole instead of machining them. This give a total of .014” slop per side. This problem makes the gate’s sloppy in the wind. I have found my own fix for this, but it cost me $30.

    Overall, if the mechanical mechanism in the motors hold up I’d give it “5” stars. The gates are used at least four times per week. I will update this post in a year after having better data on how they do!! 1/31/2024
