The first time my brother had this brand but I lower model so it took a longer time to charge up. The 2nd time that convince me was when the CAA pull out the same brand and started it up with no trouble.
So since it's good enough for CAA to use I'm going to get it to. So far I didn't have to use it.
The case doesn't come with it have to pay extra

ITs kinda maybe a little my fault for hitting it... But at the same time... You think they would have stronger plastic on the tips around the connection points.
But... I was using it in -30 weather... So all plastic will get damaged in that weather...
Maybe stronger Rubber would be best...

Fortunate timing, I accidentally drained the battery in one of our vehicles (a 2.0 L gas engine) the day before this arrived. Honestly I'm glad I did because I got to confirm that I knew how to use it and that mine was a good unit. I'm sure some of the bad reviews are from bad units (so fair enough), but I suspect many are from people that haven't taken the time to understand how to use the it. My battery was too low for the auto-sensing feature to work (car battery completely dead) so I had to use override. It didn't work at first because I (my fault) hadn't made a clean enough connection to the battery terminals (there is a reason the unit doesn't allow extension to body panels for the negative/floating ground like standard jumper cables). When I did get a clean connection to the terminals, it worked like a dream. All of this is documented in the manual (which is translated into more languages than I knew existed). So... Read the manual! Great product and I highly recommend.

Worked like a charm for a few emergency boosts, but then we made the mistake of using it to charge our devices during a power outage. Now it's nothing but a dead brick. As others have stated (it is a well know issue even to NOCO), these come with a default that kills the unit once the battery dies. Have tried to charge with a 65w charger, and nothing. Totally useless.

They aren’t cheap, but you’ll wish you had one when you need one.
Very easy to use. Has built in light which is very useful.
There are different sizes/powers…you can save a bit of money by matching the model to your car engine size.
Maybe a bit cheaper in summer when sales are lower?

Edit…I’ve just had to use it again, Its been sat in the car for well over 8 months, and during winter, not topped up.
Battery had depleted a bit, but it worked perfectly.
Very impressed with the charging speed…I put it on charge afterwards using a high-wattage (measured pushing out 57 watts) usb-c charger - it charged up within 45 mins from less than 50% full.
It hasn’t been used more than 5 times in 2 years, but it hasn’t let me down and still comes very highly recommended.
PS…I’d recommend getting the case when you can…it’s not cheap, but keeps charging unit and purchased extra cables together, and Im thinking it might even insulate the unit a bit from getting too cold, preserving battery life for when you need it.
