- Reviewed in Canada on June 23, 2025Verified PurchaseThis well made, light weight battery starts my 1200cc twin effortlessly even in near-freezing conditions. The weight savings over a standard SLA or AGM battery are significant but not much of a reason to buy this, if you’re installing it in a 600 lb motorcycle. However, the ease of installation/removal makes working in the crowded under-seat area a breeze. Don’t forget to budget for a Li-compatible charger.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 10, 2025Verified PurchaseHad good starting power for the summertime it was in my KTM 990 Adventure which is kinda picky about batteries as it has high compression, cranked quick over the summer
They advertise its resistant to cold/heat and has a battery management system to prevent discharge so should be good over winter right?
Took it out today to charge it and it barely reads 0.5V so the Genius 5 (Approved Charger by Noco) wont charge it or bring it up to 12V after hours of charging
I've only had the battery for 1 Year, purchased April 3rd of 2024, doesn't work May 9th of 2025, not very impressed overall
my 8 year old Shorai Lithium that was acting a bit weak still charged up after being out of the bike for an entire year and is happy at 13.8V right now on the Genius 5 charger..
I wouldn't recommend these unless whatever you're going to use gets used a lot or its hooked up to a battery tender when not in use, and after some googling, this is not an uncommon problem with the batteries
- Reviewed in Canada on June 6, 2025Verified PurchaseGrabbed one of these for my 2024 Indian FTR motorcycle, which was suffering from a low voltage condition. Comes charged from the factory, bolts up easily with included screws. Has nice spacers to made it fit whatever height you need. It is also VERY light.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 23, 2025Verified PurchaseLithium batteries is a good last longer but before you buy you have to do research for any other modifications for example me I buy it for my bike but I have to change another two things cost me $300 more. And if you don’t Do the modifications the batteries going to damage less than a year
- Reviewed in Canada on July 11, 2024Verified PurchaseMy wife sold off her recently acquired old carbureted Honda Shadow because even after a new AGM SLA battery and a complete tune-up, she would start and start it until the battery ran out, thinking that a fuel injection system would be less trouble.
This year she had the same problems starting her newer fuel injected Honda Shadow, and since we hadn't tried the battery swap yet, we thought we'd ignore the cautious old timers, trust ourselves, and just give it a try.
Good Lord, I can't believe we didn't buy this sooner. Having a LiFePO4 battery hasn't let her down, even with cold starts a month after the snow melted. For anyone worried about cold starts, the manual gave us a good chuckle: "In extremely cold temperatures, the battery may be slow to provide power initially. If this occurs, attempt to start the equipment again. Repeated attempts will self-heat the lithium cells and allow them to provide sufficient power."
We made sure to buy an appropriate charger for it for when the bike goes in to winter storage and just in case it gets low enough that she wouldn't want to charge it with her stator, but she doesn't even have to keep it topped up between her (rare) rides like the gearheads told her she'd have to due to the different chemistries and the nature of stator charging. As an added bonus, she's also noticed there's no hesitation/dimming when she gives 'er some gas.
Dare I say, it's a relationship saver. I kind of grumbled when she bought a motorcycle instead of the electric scooter we agreed on because I can't maintain a gas engine worth a damn, but I do know electronics. She raves about it to me and once in a while out of the blue thanks me for buying it (she knows I'm cheap), but in retrospect, it's a no-brainer to use lightweight, long-lasting Lithium ion with a proper BMS for a motorcycle and other demanding tasks rather than heavy, old, unprotected lead acid.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 28, 2024Verified PurchaseThought I would try these new lithium batteries in my 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic. Regular batteries only last a year or two and I decided to pay more than double the price of a regular battery to get one of these. I have a NoCo jump starter pack and was very impressed with it. I figured they would do a great job on the motorcycle battery as well. Unfortunately that’s not the case. These batteries are very generic regarding the connections and they don’t fit the wiring at all. I’m pretty handy so I had to fabricate a spacer lug to fill the big gap between the factory battery cables and the NoCo lithium battery terminals. There is no way this is a drop in replacement as advertised. Every motorcycle I have every owned has battery terminals that wrap around the square battery posts. This NoCo doesn’t have square battery posts just a fancy. Multi use terminal that won’t work anyway you try it, at least it won’t work on my Kawasaki. You can make it work but you have to fabricate spacers. They should
Be provided in the box, or something else that will allow you to attach the factory battery cables. Aside from this obvious oversight the battery has tons of cranking power and that big engine started up very easily. It has a 5 year warranty so if it lasts that long it’s a good purchase. NoCo engineers just need to try putting these in the bikes they say they fit to see the problems for themselves. I’m sure they can fix this issue. It should have been fit tested before they launched the product.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 23, 2025Verified PurchaseExtremely pleased with this battery. Aside from it being light I am very pleased with the product support from the manufacturer (specifically their website). Nothing is hidden, the info is there for you to do the work (compare, measure, adjust, size, etc.) so you can find the right battery for your machine. I also bought their charger for this battery. Works great, it too is light weight, easy to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid and well built looking battery
Verified PurchaseI love all the products from NOCO. They're built tough and connect easily. This battery is no exception. It's so much lighter than the AGM battery that it replaced. The battery terminals on this product look pretty cool too as it gives you 3 different mounting positions. Its just a shame that you only get one screw per terminal. I don't understand why NOCO couldn't give 6 screws It's not like they cost much. I actually needed to use up two mounting positions on the one terminal but had to pinch the screw off the old battery. Lucky the screw fit right in otherwise I would have a problem. The spacers are a really good idea too. Overall this battery is great. I installed it into my Suzuki Boulevard M109R fairly quickly and easily. The only concern was that the battery terminal clamps from the bike's wiring has a square of bracket to suit a squared off terminal, but luckily the metal used in these terminal clamps are soft enough to bend. It wasn't the ideal way to mount the clamps but it worked nonetheless. Anyways after the battery charged the bike started up very easily. I just hope I don't end up later on with not enough charge to start up whenever I go out for a ride. Only time will tell I suppose but for now I'm happy with this product.

Verified PurchaseSeemed like a good battery but I got new bike and I let it sit for a good piece 2 or 3 months and shes deader than a doornail. Wont come off the first blinky light on the charger... says 12v on my DVM but it wont crank a wristwatch. Im calling it operator error my bad, and buying another one. It was strong and Im starting up a 650 thumper thats a carburetor and needs a good amount of choke and crank sometimes. Its a good battery, Ill just keep it tended this time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb quality upgrade over lead batteries!
Verified PurchaseSaving 4 kg on a motorcycle is significant, and that's how much lighter this battery is compared to the standard AGM lead battery. People spend thousands on carbon fibre and super lightweight wheels to achieve that. This battery reduced my bike's mass by about 1.5%, worthwhile in my opinion and I could feel the difference. Like all NOCO products, the quality and multiple fitment options make this lithium battery a no-brainer. Highly recommended!
