this filter was a exact fit for my Sharpe FP-P40XC there are two differences from the original filters the first is that there is no directional arrow for the filter to show which way you install it .The second is the carbon filter it is not a bag type filter with loose carbon partials in it . It is a solid carbon filter in a frame that fits over the HEPA filter completely I prefer this new style

The Hepa filter is a perfect fit for my Sharp FP-P40CX. The carbon filter is solidly build (plastic frame vs Sharp OEM fabric mesh) and contains plenty of carbon “pellets” (as opposed to the Sharp OEM granules, not sure if one is better than the other), but it’s a bit thicker than the the original so I could only snap in the OEM plastic pre-filter (goes in front of the carbon filter to hold it all in) on one side, then I taped down the other side to the filter/carbon frame inside the air purifier. Works fine though (no extra “leakage” spots), and at about half the price compared to the OEM set, I ordered 2 more for my other two Sharp air purifiers.
