FAQ for Common Issue

Q1: What wiring is required for installation? The wall box should contain neutral, line, ground, fan load, and light load wires. Your existing switch must have separate wires for the fan and the light. A neutral wire is required, and homes built before 1978 may not include one. This switch is designed for single-pole installations only and does not support 3-way wiring.

Q2: What types of ceiling fans does this switch work with? This switch does not work with fans that have built-in remote controls, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi systems, DC motor fans, exhaust fans, or smart lights. The maximum supported load is 1.5A for the fan (with 4 speed settings). Any canopy control modules must be removed before installation.

Q3: What types of light bulbs are compatible with this switch?

This switch works only with dimmable, non-smart light bulbs. It supports up to 150W for LED or CFL bulbs and up to 300W for incandescent bulbs. Smart bulbs, non-dimmable bulbs, and lighting fixtures with integrated controls are not compatible.

Q4: Why can’t the switch connect to Wi-Fi or the app? This device supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only and does not work with 5GHz networks. Please complete the pairing process within 3 minutes; if the time is exceeded, restart the pairing process. Make sure the Wi-Fi signal is strong at the installation location, the network name and password are entered correctly, and no special characters or extra spaces are included.

Q5:Does this switch work with voice assistants?

Yes. This switch supports voice control after it is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and the corresponding skill is enabled in the voice assistant app (such as Alexa or Google Home). Not support Apple HomeKit.
