Heavy and very thick base for all of them. The skillet also comes with a lid. This set ow enough for a kitchen. The stainless steel material is non toxic and versatile. I can even use them in my oven. Perfect for any family.

    This is my first time trying out academy clad stainless steel pots and pans, and I am so impressed by how well they work! The handles have a very nice feel to them - a good thickness and easy to hold, good weight without being overly heavy. Bottom of the pans are so smooth and don't scratch the cooking surfaces. The interior bottom are rounded nicely so nothing gets caught and is difficult to clean (smoother/more rounded than my other pots). I have made soup, rice, and caramel in the pots and was effortless. Heated up quick and held heat very well compared to non-stick (mainly the staying warm part). I appreciate that it came with a lid for each pot, no need to share lids. The pan is great too although a slight learning curve on cooking on it without burning or scorching food you put in it. Love that it's dishwasher safe for the lazy days. This cookset is a perfect investment for a new home - it will last a lifetime.

    My wife and I have always preferred Lagostina cookware for durability and longevity, so we were excited to review this cookware set. The overall quality continues to show in construction, with solid rivets and an enduring finish. With this set, however, the handles jut up at an awkward angle, making them much easier to knock when reaching across the stove. None of the product images really show just how much of a pitch all the handles have, but it looks nearly comical compared to anything else we’ve owned. We can’t think of a reason for this other than aesthetics, and they’ve missed the mark with this set. For the handles alone, we deducted one star.

    This entire set of cookware looks good, works well, and above all else you can tell that it's made of sturdy materials with the idea of lasting a very long time. The metal pots and pans are heavier than the cheap alternatives you can buy, and the metal is easy to scrub clean with no need to be worried about ruining any non-stick coating. They're dishwasher safe, and the only downside I can think of is that the lids have metal handles which can become very hot if you're not careful!

    These pots and pans are really impressive. Every part of these pans is constructed from high quality stainless steel. They look very sleek and stylish in my kitchen due to their quality appearance. I find that food does not easily stick to these pots. They are easy to clean due to their smooth surface as well. The Lagostina brand name is known for quality and this set of cookware does not disappoint. I'm impressed with this set and think it would make a great gift for the chef or gourmand in your life.
