I would say because of its speed younger kids will have no trouble driving it around. Although it is slow i will say that it has no trouble with some pretty big obstacles and very tall grass. You are going to break it that is a given. But as you break something, you can upgrade it to better parts. The throttle is a little like a light switch on or off. It is hard to slow crawl with it. Great truck to learn on. Challenge yourself by building obstacles to tackle. Can you drive over a pile of rocks, or stack of firewood, or the steps to your front door? Good for kids 10+! Get two, one for your kid and one for yourself, and enjoy bonding with them.
