When using the USB-C connection, the monitor refused to shut off and would keep flashing messages about there being no signal. I bought the monitor specifically because I only had USB-C available on the laptop I used it with.

If I'd known it wouldn't work, I'd have bought a better or cheaper monitor.

After trying to trouble-shoot it with the Viewsonic support people, I gave up and bought this. It's all working as expected now with the HDMI connection on the monitor.

I am not good with the technology terminology. I purchased 4 of these for myself and a family member. We both have personal laptops and a work laptop and work from home part time for our jobs. We purchased a KVM switch, but it was all HDMI port required to the laptop. I tried other adaptive devices and returned them. Then I view UGreen and the device, their description made me more confident that this purchase was going to work for our work and personal laptops with dual monitors using extended monitor mode. 1 of the devices caused 1 monitor to flicker and do into a hibernation mode for a few seconds, back on to flickering. I tried on multiple laptops, monitors and cables. I reached out to them, explain the above experience with only one of them, and they quickly provided a resolution. They have great customer service and policy as I thought it was a defective unit and they came to the same conclusion and quickly resolved.

A very happy customer and user, without the need to have the exact technical terms to find what I needed.

Testing on one of the classroom TV's at my school which happened to be 4K, I was able to get 60HZ through this connector, no problems.

NOTE; You must use HDMI ARC and 2.0 to get 60Hz, as this is a newer standard device and requires more data to be processed. HDMI version 1 variants will limit you to 4k at 30hz.

Also, the cable you use must support 4K 60Hz as well. You might need a new HDMI cable for this adapter to work at the fastest speed.

Overall, recommend this to other people. It's a name brand on �鶹��, so there shouldn't be anything that holds you back from buying it if you need one.
