Bright red pills
I ordered this coincide Q10 supplement for its cognitive support and cardiovascular health. The claims of fertility health is a bonus. It comes in a regular size supplement bottle and the pills are a vibrant red type of vegetable capsule. There's no noticeable smell. There's no taste or after taste either. I like to take it with meals as the instructions say to take 2 per day with food. There are 90 capsules so that makes this a 45 day supply. I do feel a little bit more energy after having consistently taken this for the 2nd week now. I have not experienced any negative side effects. There are no requirements to refrigerate this bottle after opening but it does say to store away from heat and moisture. There's a precaution to consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you're taking blood pressure medication or blood thinners. The label says it has a patented formula for colloidal delivery which makes it highly absorptive and bioavailable compared to other regular coenzyme Q 10 supplements which explains the price difference but if this is true, in which I think it is, I think it's worth it.

If you are reading this review, you are likely already familiar with CoQ10. The benefits of this version are the inclusion of Vitamin E (more on this later) as well as the inclusion of VESISorb (colloidal delivery system) purported to improve absorption and bioavailability of CoQ10 by 300-600%. That's interesting.
About this product:
- The product arrived in good condition with two security seals intact
- There are no broken capsules
- There are a variety of abbreviations and acronyms to suggest care taken in the selection of ingredients as well as manufacture
- Labeling is reasonably clear
- Lot and NPN numbers are present
- Expiry is 18 months out from delivery date
- Recommended dosage is 2/day according to the label (more on this later)
- With 90 softgels/ bottle, this represents a 45 day supply if taken as directed
As with all all things we ingest, be aware of contraindications prior to taking and monitor for adverse side effects.
Misses?
- There are some discrepancies in details between the listing and the label (see Photo 1).
- Dosage: The label says 2/day (or as recommended by a practitioner) while the listing shows 1-2/day.
- While they are easy enough to swallow, the capsules are quite large (see Photo 2 compared to a 400IU vitamin E capsule for comparison).
- For those of us who already obtain Vitamin E from other sources -- and while the amount may be nominal -- how necessary is it to include Vitamin E? Creating complex formulae complicates supplement use for consumers.
- While CoQ10 supplements are not inexpensive, considering this supplement contains VESISorb to enhance absorption (and it can therefore include less CoQ10 that competitors to gain the same benefit), looking at the price, it makes me question the value proposition associated with greater absorption. While I want my CoQ10 consumption to be effective, VESISorb is but one of the absorption-enhancement strategies available in the market. It may be worth trying these as well as others but, as with most supplements and absorption strategies, efficacy can only be determined by large-scale studies.
Yes, this is a good product. It's worth shortlisting. Recommended with some reservation.
