Vileda has invented a mop that is pure genius. With a bucket that is on par with the genius mop. At first, I had a kind of struggle because, for the life of me, I couldn't get the handle to extend. I so wanted to use the mop. Sad.

Wellie, wellie, wellie what do you know? This morning I gave the mop another chance. By happenstance, I stood with a foot on each side of the base which holds the mop and gently pulled up on the handle. Whoosh! The handle fully extends! Way to go! So now you know.

Here's the thing: I am in my 80s and recently lost my right eye to cerebral vascular disease. Lots of problems, you can imagine. Including seeing details. Like what is dirty and what is clean in particular. Which is why I went with this model of Vileda mop. I've bought and used Vileda mops for decades. But this?

THIS is wonderful for a person like moi. Interesting mop. Picked up a load of yuck. (I have a cat who is shedding machine. I need not say more.) With somebody with Cat Experience I learned a trick to get that cat hair off the freaking mop. I filled the kitchen sink with hot water, low suds liquid laundry soap, a little bleach for whites, and a cup of baking soda. Swish swish swish and voila! My mop is all white and clean again. And still works like it should. Just so you know. Only one teeny observation: the mop could be bigger. Could be. Might be. Might also render it useless for the bucket that comes with it. Sigh.

The bucket. WOW! That's the coolest, neatest, cleverest design of a mop bucket I have ever seen, let alone used. And here I was, not at all expecting much of anything. I love being wrong. It restores my faith in mankind of the designing sort. Sure wish I had had such a mop bucket before. Never too late, eh? Nope. Never. That thing SPINS! Press again. It spins some more. In fact, it's kind of fun spinning it. LOL

Thank you VILEDA! You have done good for womankind. You have saved us a truckload of grief. Nice mop. Nice bucket. Nice design. Very clever. Thank you.

The only thing that sucked was that I had to return the faulty one to get my refund or be charged for 2. Which seems fair but I can't make it to a post office with the hours I work and also a strike was happening. So I didn't make the cut off time. So had to pay for both which sucks. All I wanted was a handle replacement sent. But with that being said it doesn't suck to have 2 buckets.

4 stars because it would have be nice to not have to pay for 2 and just get a working one

I love this mop. I have one for home and one for my office. The mop heads can go in the washer so you reduce waist. You can control how wet you want your surface. I find it picks up the dirt and hair and leaves floors really clean. I tested it at work first because we have allot of foot traffic. I washed the floors and then went over them again with clean water and the water was pretty clear when I emptied the bucket. Only downside, the foot pedal wasn't working properly. I looked it up and people said add wd 40 to the ball bearing. Work great now.

I got this spin mop on 7/31/23. My husband used it once and it worked okay the 1st time. About a week ago, he was trying to use it the 2nd time. Very shockingly, the mop spinner has stopped spinning completely. We tried to figure out what's wrong by checking online. It looks like the spinner is broken or defective!!! But we bought it only 9 weeks ago and used only once. How can it be so flimsy???? It's really a piece of junk. Since it's past 30 days, I can't return it.
