  • No, this non contact voltage tester is specifically designed for traditional incandescent Christmas lights. The voltage detector will not reliably work with LED light strings. Please check your light string type before use.

  • It requires you to remove and test each bulb individually for a precise diagnosis. It is not a "non-removal" type that scans the entire string. While it takes a few minutes, you find the exact faulty bulb or fuse, saving the entire set.

  • It is a common issue with a simple fix! First, please ensure you have removed the battery insulation strip and the batteries are installed correctly (check the +/- polarity). If the problem persists, try replacing the new LR44 batteries.

  • This is likely due to high sensitivity picking up ambient electrical interference. Try turning the sensitivity knob to a lower setting. Avoid using it directly next to other powered-on electronics or dense clusters of wires to prevent false alarms.

  • Slide the switch to extend the fork. Insert between bulb and base until loose, then pull out by hand. For "lock-in" bases, gently twist to unlock first.
