  • TOPENS CK1200 Automatic Gate Opener features a STRONG 550W AC motor with greater start force, pulling force, and greater safety.

AC Electricity Powered

  • CK1200 Gate Opener is ONLY powered by 110-120VAC electricity.
  • The power supply cord is required but NOT included.
  • The power supply cord should be at least 3 × 0.75 mm2. Connect the live wire and neutral wire to the “L” (1#) and “N” (3#) terminal respectively; and connect the earth wire to (2#) terminal.
  • TOPENS DK1000S, DKR/DKC series solar sliding gate openers are recommended if you want to power the gate by batteries and solar system.

NOTE: The tiny CR2025 3V button cell batteries that come with the package are ONLY for the remote control.

  • The roller chain has gone through strict process for high quality, allowing for the optimum toughness of all component parts, as well as increasing metal fatigue resistance and pre-lubricated for wear resistance.
  • The package includes 6m roller chain. The length of the chain is adjustable.

I’ve had one of these topens gate openers for almost 3 years , my gate is 20ft long and 9ft high made of steel and wood and very heavy , i was hesitant at first going with a cheaper motor as opposed to the more expensive Italian made ones , I’m pretty impressed. The only mistake i made was mounting the track onto wood , after securing the start and stopping points with pieces of angle iron it’s been great though and the nice thing is you can just replace sections of the track if it gets worn out. I posted a picture of my gate so you can see the size

    The media could not be loaded.
    Been using the gate opener for about 6 months. Retrofitted it to a barn door. Works as it should! Great product and simple to set up (if you're a little handy). You need to make sure the gate is levelled and moves very smoothly. Measure everything properly, and make sure the gate opener is firmly anchored, ideally to concrete. You want the chain to be nice and taught, and minimize the 'load' that the motor has to carry. Great range on the remotes. I will be looking into adding the wifi module for smart home capabilities.

    I am very happy with this gate opener. The system is compact and robust.
    I have it connected to a cantilevered 24ft opening gate, overall length is about 40ft.
    The installation was simple and straight forward. Had to play with the controls a bit to fine tune the stop/reverse setting. Have just gone through a cold weather snap of -20C for about 14 days.
    The opener worked every morning.
    Would happily recommend this product for any such application.

    Works well on our gate. Only challenge is that the open/close force settings could use a “blanking time” - the first second or so takes a bit to get the gate moving, setting the force to a nice safe low level causes the safety to trigger and reverse or stop. Other than that this thing is awesome!

    Before you install the Gate Operator outside wire everything inside your home on a bench in order to test that everything functions. More importantly that you have an understanding how it works plus test all the settings.

    This Gate Operator kit comes with everything you need to install including floor anchors which I did not use as a they have a 9/16 inch diameter and I only had a 1/2 inch masonary bit. No big deal as I had 1/2 inch expansion bolts. The other tools you will need is a hammer drill, adjustable wrench, chain breaker tool, screwdrivers which will include a small flat blade for wires that go to control board. If you are not going to use the U bolts that come with this kit for a cleaner install like I did you will need more tools. Drill bits, cut off wheel, metal file, self taping sheet metal screws and washers.

    My gate required some tweaking since I only had a small gap for chain to move. I was able to elongate a few holes to adjust chain perfectly. I do not believe most will have this issue but it is wise to have all the tools to resolve this if you need to drill a hole or make the chain bracket slot have a bit more adjustment. This is not Topens fault but my custom gate which I have to modify in order to fit the way I want it to.

    Once you have the motor secured to concreate, chain has been cut, gate opens, closes with no binding when disengauged from motor you may unhook chain and continue with wiring.

    You need to provide the 120v wire from your home. Best to use Liquid Tight conduit from Big Box Store along with the conduit fitting as this motor has a hole in the bottom for it. I also have an optical sensor and coaxial cable from my old Multicode Reciever box going to the bottom as this unit has two holes for bringing wires in. The GO has grommets to keep bigs out.

    The wiring is very well documented in the manual. The only thing I would add is that you may have more than one remote receiver connected to this unit. I current have the Topens remotes plus my old original Multicode remote with Sonoff LV opening gates which are programmed to my cars already. Connection 15 and 16, see pic is for push button opening. Anything that closes a circuit may be used like the Sonoff LV to open and close the gate making it a smart gate. There is enough space to put whatever extra receiver box you decide on top of the motor, see pic. I will strongly advise on getting the Optical sensor to be safe and it is very easy to to add. The only thing you will need is wiring as sensor does not have any. When you are testing the Optical sensor indoors make sure to have the reflector a few feet apart as it does not work real close to main unit that transmits the beam.

    When placing the magnet be sure to line them up with markings on the side of gate motor. Cover must be off to see markings, see pic. This gate does not stop right away when it reaches the magnet but slows down to a stop which I like. Make sure to adjust the force pots on the board. Don’t crank them all the way up to full power. Start low then gradually adjust to lowest setting that allows the gate to open.

    In summary the Topens CK1200 is a very complete Gate Operator with all parts needed to install. As noted above, if you do not want to have all these u bolts and or looking for a more streamline/custom install you will have to modify some brackets. The good news is that the brackets are beefy, thick metal and you will have no issues cutting them to fit your needs if you choose to do so. The customer service is 5 stars, answering all my questions via 鶹 before the purchase. If there are any problems I will be sure to update this review. When my 2nd gate fails beyond repair I will replace it with another CK1200. I may even do a video of install if time permits for those who are hesitant to tackle this project.

    PS. Pressure washing my driveway on the to do list ;)

    I ended up buying 2 of these within 3 weeks. They both have the same issues. I installed the 1st one and I hired a gate company to install the 2nd. They both have remote control issues and magnet sensor issues. I bought the extra transponder to extend the number of remotes from 8 to up to 250 for an extra 60$ and could never program more than 12 before it would kick the 1st remotes off and they would not work after programing. The last straw was when gate was open all day when it should auto close after 30 seconds. It auto opened and ran the stopper off the track and fell on a Mercedes truck. The auto close would work for the 1st 3 or 4 people to work in the morning and then would not auto close until it felt like it hrs later and the remotes that were programmed would not work to close the gate. When closed the fobs worked fine to open the gate. Total waste of 1300 total plus 700 for the install of the 2nd motor. Now I have an invoice from another company to pay $3800 for a different opener and install. Lesson learned
