Extra-Wide Slots

Toast bagels, thick slices of homemade bread, English muffins, and more thanks to the toaster’s extra-wide slots. Each slot measures 5-1/4 inches long by 1-1/4 inches wide.

Bagel, Frozen, and Cancel Functions

Choose the Bagel setting to toast just the cut of your bagel or the Frozen setting to defrost bread. Select both the Bagel setting and the Frozen setting simultaneously to toast frozen bagels. Select Cancel to end current toasting sessions at any time.

Extra-Lift Function

No more burning fingertips when removing smaller pieces of toast. The toaster’s extra-lift lever raises toast up to help ensure safe retrieval.

Cord Wrap and Removable Crumb Tray

The toaster’s long 22-inch power cord (when routed out the back) makes it easy to situate the toaster right where you want it. When finished using the toaster, simply unplug it, and use the handy cord wrap for tidy out-of-the-way storage.

The 鶹Basics 2-Slice Toaster also comes with a removable crumb tray for quick, convenient cleanup as needed.

I received it today. Took it to the garage, ran it through 2 cycles to burn off the new stink. Brought it in and it toasted my bread perfectly at just over 3 on the dial. It is nice, light, has a place to wrap the cord on the bottom for storage and looks great on the counter. 1 year warranty. Nice lights on it too. Awesome price. What's not to like. Highly recommended :)

    鶹 Basic products are well worth it. The toaster is sleek looking. It is the first time I have had to replace my toaster in over 25 years so there are obvious changes in appearance and the fact that now I have a cancel button instead of pushing a lever up. Toasts well. The only downside is that I feel the raised part on the dial to choose how dark you want it, needs to have a touch of white on it. The raised part and the dial is all the same colour. When I move the toaster back to the back of the counter after use, the dial often moves. So if the white mark was there, I would easily see that is not on the number that I want it to me. Simple thing for 鶹 to change. Otherwise. fast delivery and cool product.

    I've really come to appreciate toasters with the ability to toast with only the center element. This is a necessity for bagels, english muffins, hot cross buns etc. if you don't want to cinder the outside surfaces. For years I've been using T-fal products, putting up with their short-comings (uneven toasting, discharging toast to the floor etc.). When my current toaster quit working, I starting looking for a replacement and noticed the 鶹 Basics unit. The low price had me wondering if it could possibly be the bargain that it appeared to be. To my delight it was everything that it was advertised to be. No more uneven toasting , no more picking toast off the floor. The only shortcoming is the arrow on the control knob which is sometimes difficult to see (black on black). Overall I'm quite pleased with the product.

    A no-frills, low cost toaster that does its job well - exactly what I was looking for. The only downside so far is that I find it overheats single slices - if I put a single slice in, I have to dial things down a bit. The fact that this uses an analog dial is nice. By this I mean, I toast two slices at "3", but if it's only one I can dial it down to "2.8", so to speak - the dial moves continuously between settings instead of having hard stops.

    My wife wanted a heavier unit, to ease manipulation and prevent toppling. This one is very light. But that seems like a common malady at this price range - it'd take a substantially more expensive, or just larger, toaster oven to have some weight to it, based on our physical checks before buying this one.

    Other customers have mentioned a burning plastic or chemical smell when operating this product, and some have mentioned that the smell goes away after a while, but I've run the toaster through dozens of cycles (alternating from setting 6 to setting 4 as instructed in the user manual) and the smell just won't go away. I can only conclude that there is a manufacturing error with my particular toaster, as why would I even think of cooking anything in it when it gives off such a stench?

    TL;DR buyer beware: product may never stop giving off bad smell

    I like the looks but a few things I thought would make it better.
    -The cord is too short, not bad if you're right next to an outlet but if you're not then its a bit of a pain.
    -The dial could have a white mark indicating where its set at. It's too hard to see the black on black.
    -I found the heat in this toaster was a bit lower than our previous Phillips making the bread a lot more dry and prone to crumble. Our old Phillips toasted the bread quicker on the outside leaving it a bit softer on the inside and crisp on the outside.

    This toaster is great. It's light, compact, has every feature that I had hoped a larger and more expensive toaster would have: easy to change dial to adjust the toasting time, a button to adjust for frozen bread, a button for Bagels with large enough slots for the thicker slices, and it even has a Cancel button, unlike my previous toaster.     Wonderful, easy to use toaster with a bagel setting as well as a setting for frozen bread. The best part is I got the toaster the same day I ordered it - amazing! Very affordably priced, too, which is another reason.

    LO BUENO:
    Bueno, bonito, barato.. bien aislado contra el calor. Botones funcionales. Genial capacidad para bagels, congelados o ambiente.
    LO MALO:
    El tostado es disparejo, por ejemplo se tuesta a nivel 3, queda perfecto de un lado, del otro un poco más tostado. En otra ocasión, en el mismo nivel 3, se tostó todavía más de un lado, quedando un poquito carbonizado.
    La perilla de nivel de tostado es MUY difícil de ver, literal tengo que prender la lámpara para ver en qué nivel está, ya que además se mueve muy fácil.
    En comparación con otros tostadores, tuesta más bien lento, entonces el pan queda super crujiente, lo cual es bueno o malo, depende cómo te guste.

    Sin embargo por el precio, lo volvería a comprar, solo considerando los pormenores de su uso.
