By plugging this BrosTrend AC5L Linux Wireless Adapter for PC to any USB ports of your Linux desktop or laptop PC, you can get Wi-Fi speed of 433Mbps on 5GHz WiFi band or 200Mbps on 2.4GHz. You can use the 5GHz Wireless band for smooth gaming and HD streaming, and the 2.4GHz band for video calls and shopping online. Taking advantage of the latest 802.11 ac Wi-Fi technology, this Ubuntu WiFi adapter works with the latest 802.11ax WiFi 6 routers, it also backward compatible with the previous 802.11ac/a/b/g/n routers.
Note:
- To get full 200Mbps WiFi speed on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, you have to make sure your existing WiFi router / gateway supports 256QAM modulation, and setup the 256QAM modulation on it.
- This Linux WiFi adapter works on desktop computers, laptops, single-board computers like Raspberry Pi, Odroid, RockPro64, and even virtual machines like VirtualBox, KVM, QEMU, VMWare.
- Supported Architectures: x86_64/ x86_32(PCs, VirtualBox...), aarch64/armhf (Raspberry Pi 2+, Odroid...)
- Supported Modes: IBSS, Managed, AP, P2P-client, P2P-GO
- To install the driver on Linux OSes, an Internet connection is required at the time of installation, so as to be able to download the driver and its dependencies. That means that you might have to use a wired connection, i.e. a LAN cable.
