Amazing little unit!
Extremely happy with this little unit. Picked it up for my daughter’s 8th gen civic. Also got the OEM mirror mount and direct power unit. OEM mirror mount is WEDGE STYLE. Install is complex but not too bad. 8th gen civic includes a hole above the license plate, camera cable fits perfect! Passthroughs are present everywhere. Contacted RE mount, needed adapter. But they sent a new rear camera which is AMAZING!!! Great buy, would get again! Highly recommended?

    Although I have only had the device for just over a week, I thought I’d write an initial comment to be followed up by an update later if needed. The product came well packaged and everything they quoted to be in the box was there. Installation of both the screen and rear camera was simple. The setup was easy to understand and everything went according to the process laid out in the instructions. Setting both cameras for the optimal view required some trial and error, but again pretty simple. The image/clarity of both front and rear cameras is incredible. I mounted the rear camera inside at the top of the back window, works perfectly and provides as nice wide view as a “rear view” mirror (very happy), and no drilling holes in the vehicle to get cables back to the screen. The biggest job was hiding the cables out of sight for a professional finish and neat appearance. The backup feature (reversing lines) are okay, but would not totally rely on them until you have done some research on where they actually are in relation to the back of the vehicle. Overall…good solid product. Will be back if anything changes!

    Pros:
    - everything worked, and instructions were in plain English
    - installation pretty easy, they provide a sturdy plastic wedge tool to assist with pushing the wires into the crevices, and the manual/guide shows how to run the wires
    - the picture on the display was clear/not fuzzy
    - the touch screen controls are easy to navigate
    - the price for the whole system was great

    Cons: (so far only tested in day time)
    - when it's really sunny outside, even with the screen on maximum brightness, you won't be able to see the video image while driving.
    *They note in the manual that if you don't want to use the screen, you can turn it off (they're still recording which is good) and then the screen essentially becomes a rear view mirror.
    - I just reviewed the driving footage on my phone and on my computer, and I can't read any of the license plates of the cars. The footage is clear but you won't get fine details.
    *The camera records audio from inside the car, so now that I know this, I'd read out the license plate if I was ever in a situation
    - bumpy roads/pot holes trigger the Video Lock function, so if you don't expand the video storage with a microSD, you might have to clear those locked videos every once in a while to free up space

    I'm still happy with my purchase. I like the functions/controls for the price.

Dont be fooled by the price point and quality i assure you i would choose wolfbox over the expensive competition i have installed over the years.     I love this mirror/camera. Fairly lengthy install if you want everything perfect, especially if you remove the factory mirror and use the wolfbox mirror mount. Takes a bit to get used to. Good clarity and resolution. I wish it had an auto dim setting. Customer support was pretty quick and helpfull. Super happy overall with all my wolfbox products.

    Cons: Clock wont stay set to MT. When videos lock because of a bump or pothole a big lock Icon stays on mid screen and blocks the view and doesn't go away on its own, super frustrating to the point I turned off auto lock.

    The product works for the most part; however, the depth of the backup image isn't exact, so it's not the best to use as a backup camera. Also. it sometimes does not turn on properly and requires being unplugged from the power supply and plugged back in in order to start. Although this isn't a big deal, it definitely isn't ideal. As a basic from and back camera to keep track of potential accidents, the product is good and provides a very clear image. So, if you're using it as a backup camera, I do not strongly recommend, but if you're using it simply to record, then it's great.
