I've used other 3rd party sold Dyson filters before for my V15 and while they looked and fitted great, they didn't do as well of a job as my original Dyson filter. These don't seem to have that issue at all and I'm glad. The only thing is that it is harder to put on than the original filter, but once it's on it works great. The dust bin was a good fit too and works excellent, and is around the same size as my original Dyson dust bin if not a tad smaller though the size difference could just be an optical illusion. I didn't know my older dirty dust bin was part of what caused the dirt and hair to get sucked up into the upper compartment. Perhaps there was just hair and dust caught in between the compartments causing that to happen. Once I switched to this new dust bin as well as the new filter, the dust and hair stayed put in the lower compartment. The original dust bin still works great but now that I have a spare I can wash them more often to keep them clean. Admittedly this is the first time I've taken the dust bin off for cleaning despite owning my Dyson for at least a couple of years, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to switch the dust bins. Again, the only minor issue with the dust bin is that it takes a bit more strength to click it closed after emptying, but it's not really anything to complain about. The emptying switch works the same as the original, and just as well.
