Product description

The USA Pans 12 cup Cupcake / Muffin Pan is constructed of aluminized steel, the material of choice for commercial bakeries. The metal thickness of this pan has been selected to allow for even heat distribution and maximum service life. An important and unique feature of this pan is its corrugated design. Corrugation maximizes the pans strength and prevents warping, denting and other effects of everyday use. No need for messy and unhealthy oil and grease. This pan is coated with Americoat. Americoat is a proprietary silicone coating. It provides a clear, non-stick, environmentally friendly, non-toxic baking surface, specially formulated for superior baking. It s FDA approved, it does not contain PTFE s or PFOA s. It is not recommended to exceed baking temperature of 400 Degrees F. Easy care. To clean, simply wipe clean after use, soap and water are okay to use. It is not recommended that pan be washed in dishwasher because harsh chemicals can cause the non-stick material to breakdown in time. Dry pan completely, after cleaning. This is by far the best muffin pan I've ever had. Non stick, easy to clearn, sturdy ... It doesn't come any better. So reviewers say that there is no need to grease each cavity, but I guess is may have a lot to do with the kind of muffin that you're baking. For me, for classic wheat bran muffins, I use a paper towel and shortening to lightly coat each cavity. It works like a charm, once baked the muffins come right out effortlessly just by flipping the pan over.

I have only used this twice so far, but I have to say , so far I am impressed... I made my first batch of muffins yesterday, and after letting them cool for 15 minutes, I expected them to just fall out of the pan, when turned upside down, but no , that will not happen.. But using a small rubber spatula around the edges, the muffins popped right out, and there is absolutely no trace of muffin in the pan when it comes out.. Clean as a whistle.. I used no cooking oil, or anything else, and cleaning this after took about 30 seconds using soapy warm water.. The directions clearly state do not use the dishwasher, so that would be good words of wisdom to heed, in keeping this lasting for years.
Seems to be a solid , quality built baking tool,, that I am so impressed, I will probably invest in other cooking pots and pans from the same company in the future.
