This thing is wild. You plug it in, and it gets cold like a refrigerator. I don’t know what sorcery is at work here, but really makes a huge difference on my camera.
I had the previous version of this product, which was just a fan which blows air onto the camera’s rear plate. It honestly didn’t do much, and if I was shooting high-frame-rate footage, it would still overheat. That’s no longer the case with this unit.
The downsides are that it’s MUCH more bulky than the basic fan version, especially with its battery attached. With that extra bulk comes extra weight. Coupled with a v-mount battery and a monitor, not to mention the associated rigging, and a mirrorless video rig will get extremely heavy very quickly.
Still, it’s worth it, especially if you shoot demanding video in less than ideal conditions. I’m glad I bought it.

High-marks for quality. Perfect fit on Sony a6700. Innovative thermostatic cooler with external battery makes it very convenient to instantly swap power source but it does result in a bulky "back-side" which unfortunately obstructs the view of the rear screen.
Fan is noisy, even at low speeds, so best to use it with a wireless microphone set-up. The thermal pad risks collecting dust and dirt which potentially impacts cooling efficiency over time. There is a thin protective sheet included from the factory that must be removed for use. I would recommend putting the sheet back-on when in storage to protect the pad.
