The magnets seem very strong. I haven't used it yet but testing it on the outer skin of my skin on frame/inflatable hybrid kayak the magnets hold very strong. I can budge it swinging the fabric pretty wildly. I have nowhere to clip my GoPro on that boat so fingers crossed, this works. If no update after July 21 2025, it did!

I would give it 5 Star if i could have buy one of the 3 magnets separately without needing to purchase the whole 3 piece package. I've got this product and now i wanna mount it to 3 different tripods i have and i have to buy 2 more of this product (3 piece pack), so i can only use one part of them.

I tried it for a week to mount on my front chase clothing. It's very sturdy and tight. It doesn't get loose to drop. It's very good. Now I can free my both hands while video recording daily stuff. I would recommend this for someone needs to free both hands to video recording.

The idea is fantastic ..it works very well, very convenient to switch the camera from location to location without having to screw and unscrew new attachments etc etc... and so forth. however, the skeleton cases that are made for GoPro 5.6.7 and 8.. have a hinge on the opening end of the skeleton door case; where you obviously put the camera in and then seal it shut... that hinge inhibits the camera from rotating all the way to the back of the GP16 case, so when you attach it on the magnet frame, you can't pivot the GoPro all the way back to get a 90°angle..it tilts a little
forward because the hinge of the skeleton cases hits the base of the GP-16..

Furthermore I attached a sticker base attachment foot to my windshield and when I attached the gp16 while on a drive.. it has a little bit of a shake not completely sturdy... it needs a little bit of a stiffer base where the camera attaches somehow and will be better as a ball head on this thing... however overall it's very functional

Wished I'd seen that in the description or in another review or in an answered question, but seems that not many use the media mod with their GoPro. The magnets are very strong so the concept is good but if using a media mod, the camera won't sit flush to the back panel of the magnet since the mount under the camera is too close to the camera body to allow for the additional girth. The media mod is used to record far better sound through its own additional mic or allows you to add a mic for superior sound over the built-in mics.

After reading a couple reviews I decided to add this to my Ulanzi accessories. (I lost my flexible neck band mount)....

One reviewer mentioned that it did not mount compatibly with the GoPro Media-Mod. Well, after a little sanding with a rotary tool I made the required modifications, and it fits great!

Just use a sanding drum with your rotary tool and notch out the mount just where the media-mod contacts, and in about 5 minutes they will nest together nicely.

I would definitely recommend this Ulanzi accessory. Combined with the quick release magnetic twist mounts and my uses, I am sure to have an easier time switching camera positions and perspectives.
