I've already transferred around 5 TB worth of DATA since I got it, so I think I've used it enough to leave a review. On my thin and light, the speeds reach around 40mb per second on regular 2.5 inch drives (9.5 mm) and slim ones (7 mm) drives with no issues. There were a couple times where I reached 70mb per sec but I I was transferring to an SSD and wasn't doing anything else. Most of the time I have had several things plugged in my laptop so your speeds will vary according to how clogged your USB bus is. Also, don't but this if you are planning to use it on a 3.5 inch drive, get something that has a second USB cable for power or something that connects to an AC on the wall, even if it ends up working, the speeds are gonna suck. The build quality is not bad for the price, comparing to the dozens I've used in the last 10 years, because most companies would build it as cheaply as possible due to it being an enthusiast product (in the past). So far this thing has been solid, I'll probably buy a couple more if it lasts for a couple more months. If not, I'll update the review.

I have an old Laptop with a mechanical hard drive that was using up battery power and was running slow. I wanted to replace the hard drive with a SSD drive. I used this with Macrium Reflect software and a WD SSD drive purchased from �鶹�� as well. I cloned my old hard drive into the new one first without even opening up the laptop case. Eventually I had to open the casing to replace the old HDD. But ideally you could eve boot from it without ever having to open case just by adjusting your bios to boot from USB drives.

This is what I got for SSD drive.

Really happy with this new sata ssd adapter. I was initially afraid that it would be a bit slower than the USB C versions that are also on the market. However, this is the fastest SATA SSD adapter I have ever had with speeds of up to 400Mbps, while others reached a maximum of 200Mbps. The plastic does feel a bit cheaper, but you can expect that for the price. I prefer cheaper plastic and a high copy speed than a slow SSD reader.
