Verified PurchaseThe amount in the package will be way more than I will ever need in my lifetime...because, a scant 1/4 tsp will thicken a salad dressing, gravy, stew, etc. Xanthan Gum is tasteless, so when you use it, it will not alter the flavor of your recipe. It's so handy, and works like magic, just add and stir. If you look on the labels of most dressings, you will note the dressing contains this gum. That's why store-bought salad dressings are thicker than homemade.
