- Reviewed in Canada on December 8, 2024Verified PurchaseIt is a thick size but I'm ok with that. I could not imagine fixing my car tree with a smaller size as even this took a lot of work. Is it perfect? No but I am refurbishing a perch that my cats love instead of throwing it away. There is no smell to this cord. Made in El Salvador according for be package. My cat has already scratched it so I guess that is the sign of approval. It looks pretty good if you also me. Hopefully I get a few years of cat scratching out of it.

- Reviewed in Canada on May 27, 2023Verified PurchaseI have quite a destructive kitten who destroyed the new cat tree within couple months. The old rope was very very thin and the posts were partly carpet. They were no match for our boy who tore them apart.
This rope is thick and solid he will jump at the posts and climb up to the top no problem. He's been tearing at them with barely any destruction.
I've had these fixed for a couple weeks now. I wanted to see how it lasted before reviewing and I couldn't be happier. I recovered all these posts with one roll! I bought two in case and didn't need to touch the second roll at all. I just tightly wound the rope around the posts and stapled it at the ends and it's holding up well. Didn't want our boy chewing on hot glue. If you don't use hot glue you need to make sure you pull the rope extremely tight around the posts.

- Reviewed in Canada on February 7, 2024Verified PurchaseI bought this sisal rope to re-cover a few cat scratching posts. The posts originally had a finer rope and the cats destroyed it in no time and this thicker rope is more durable. It¡¯s easy to re-cover but needed longer staples in my staple gun because of the wider rope. The cats love it, especially with a bit of cat nip rubbed into the rope.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 16, 2022Verified PurchaseNo smell! I originally bought another rope that advertised no smell and that was incorrect. I had hoped it would fade but ended up replacing it with this one. It¡¯s a bit stiff but used some wood glue to keep it in place. They have used it and the rope is staying intact, not shredding. This roll covered 40¡± of a 2¡±x4¡± . Basically the length of the right side of the cat post. I did some patchwork repairs but it would have covered that area. It looks good and I thinK it will last me awhile. It is well used by 3 cats.

5.0 out of 5 stars Durable for multi-cat home!
Verified PurchaseRefurbishing my kitty condo proved to be an excellent decision. After acquiring a couple of newer cat trees, it became evident that my oldest tree was the most durable of them all. It was more practical to replace the sisal rope rather than repeatedly purchase newer kitty towers that failed to serve their purpose effectively. This sisal rope has proved durable for my multiple, rambunctious, cat household.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything I could hope for!
Verified PurchaseI have purchased quantities of this sisal numerous times to refurbish my cats¡¯ scratching posts and cat trees over the years. It is easy to work with and virtually odor-free which is essential in my book. It is an excellent product which I will continue to buy and recommend. Would love to see it come in longer lengths such as 75-100 feet.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect for recovering cat scratching posts
Verified Purchasei have some 4 ft scratching posts that no one makes anymore, and they are very popular with the beasts. its time consuming, and you need to wear gloves, but it does the job and the wee monsters are satisfied with the results. sisal twine is much better than hemp for this purpose, since the hemp tends to stretch and the sisal does not.
