The movie tells the story of two Brooklyn plumbers who are brothers and best friends: Mario, the brave one with the "let's-a go" attitude, and the perpetually anxious Luigi, who would prefer to go nowhere. Case cover came damaged.
Wonderful movie and fun for the kids! The cover inside the case is ripped not sure why that happened. For me I'm not impressed it really bugs me. Everything looked fine and brand new until I took the cardboard sleeve off. Feeling a bit disappointed on condition of the case. Discs are in perfect condition.

    I haven’t watched the movie yet. But I did check to make sure it works in my blu ray. I think it’s great. I got a blu ray and a dvd so I’m giving my daughter the dvd so we both have the movie. What a great deal for $11.99.

    No offense to the other great Nintendo films (Pokemon for example), but this movie is one of the best Nintendo films ever (way better than the 1993 film)! I think Illumination and Nintendo did a splendid job on making this accurate to the games and making it so much fun. I read people say that it is fast paced and the plot being basic, but what is it expected, Mario is known for simple plots. Just go ahead and have fun :D

    I enjoyed the movie for what it was.
    I don't believe it's a masterpiece or anything though. The mario movie is as faithful to the games as it can be, and its full of fun references. Charles Martinet has a cameo as Giuseppe and Mario's father, and he does this cameo in several languages. I originally watched the french dub because of the positive reception it got online, and hearing Charles in french was admittedly kinda cool.

    Anyways, the real downfall for this movie is that its just poorly paced. The audience has no room to breath between set pieces. Its a lot of flash with no substance.

    If you want a more original story with better pacing, the Sonic movies are a much better option. That being said, this is still a great movie that gives its target audience exactly what they want. You'll have a great time.

    It may have taken 30 years, but now we have a proper Super Mario Brothers movie..unlike that "other" one from 1993. As a family and video game movie, I really enjoyed this movie. Was full of great laughs, some heartfelt moments and PLENTY of Nintendo easter eggs. Really great picture and sound on the Blu-ray. If you're a fan of Nintendo, or even the animated movies Illumination puts out, you'll want to check this movie out.
