These spring compressors worked great, was a bit unsure when I purchased them since I¡¯ve had ones from the auto parts store bend on me doing struts on a car. These easily compressed the springs on my Ram 1500. Never once did they feel unsafe or bend at all. Like other reviewers I cleaned and lightly greased the threads. I did not use a impact gun, just a ratchet and socket. 10 rotations of the screw at a time per side about 30 rotations required to free the spring. The storage case seems well built and has slide catches to secure closed. Nice kit, made an unpleasant job go very smooth.
