I replaced another brand that died after only 2 years. Hopefully this one will last longer.
Using PoE with a 48v injector.
Stupid-simple set-up and easy to follow instructions. It created it's own IP address in my router which was strangely out of range for what I have set up but it still worked. I eventually forced it to use another static IP using DCHP and MAC binding. The mobile and desktop apps also work flawlessly.
I mounted the base plate to a soffit using spring clips. My only tiny concern is that it might be a bit too easy to vandalize since there are no retaining screws holding the actual camera to the mountining plate (a simple twist and it's off) so someone could easily make off with your SD card if they wanted to.
Of course this assumes that a thief could be confounded by a philips screw or two even if they were there.
Oh one last thing - the description says a third party NVR is NOT SUPPORTED but I've got it working fine on my WINIC NVR. I just had to make a few changes to the REOLINK dashboard and voila! I didn't read that my third-party NVR wasn't supported when I bought it but just got lucky I suppose but buyer beware JIC.
