Can't make coffee again after using the steam function?

Because the machine was in an overheated state at that time, it needed to be cooled for a while before continuing to use. At this time, you can after pressing steam button off, open steam valve and release some water through.
The temperature screen displays "E-1"

The steam knob is not closed tightly when steam preheat. Please tighten the steam knob.
The temperature screen displays "E-2"

Wait for the machine to cool down or turn on the steam control knob to release hot water and cool it down (with a cup under the steam wand) if the internal temperature is too high to make coffee after using steam.

Temperature sensor is short-circuited or open, the temperature fuse is open, or there is a poor connection between the power board and the display board, please ask us for solutions.
No water comes out during the first use

Remove the red silicone from the water tank before using the coffee maker.

I want to love this machine because it really does heat up quicker than any small machine I’ve used, but…

1. The créma is too bubbly/foamy. Was critiqued adamantly by my Italian father in law who told me to get another machine. It’s okay for a latte but not so much for an espresso.

2. You cannot use a normal sized mug. All of the other machines I’ve used you can fit a normal sized mug (or bigger) under the drip, usually by sliding out the drip tray. For this machine, while you can remove the drip tray, it doesn’t have enough room to fit a mug.

3. If you steam milk you will have to wait a bit of time before the machine is cool enough to brew another coffee. I mean longer than you’d want to have to wait.

I honestly would likely return it, but the box got scrapped before so I guess I’m stuck with it.

Considering the low cost of this machine, it *can* get you started into espresso. Pair it with a decent grinder that can do espresso grind properly (a decent hand grinder, a Baratza Encore, perhaps a Breville or even a modded cheapo grinder), and you'll be on your way.

I started on a cheap machine like this and it certainly can be a gateway to an espresso obsession. The workflow is a little painful coming from more pro-oriented machines, and it certainly isn't easy like a super-auto or a pod machine, but if you're interesting semi-manually pulling your own shots and steaming milk with a wand, then this is pretty much the cheapest entry point.

Run lots of water through it to start i thought mine was broken until it fully heated and started finally spitting out steam from the wand after water dribbling out for a long time. Pull some water shots to cool it from steam temp, then pull your shot. You'll have to get used to steaming milk first with a heat-exchanger machine. It's just how they work. Read the manual, look up info online for heat exchanger machines and off you go.

Overall decent for what it is. You'll probably be wanting an upgrade before long!

I'm not a coffee snob but I enjoy a good cuppa and my morning routine includes what I call a cappalateccino. I had been using a Breville machine before this one, and this is a huge upgrade. It has a generous water tank, I only keep it 1/4 full and that's enough to make several days worth of coffees for me. The heat up time is also great, it goes from power on to 198°F in 29 seconds. It has a feature that "primes" the portafilter by gently pulsing water into it for the first second or two, allowing all of the grounds to soak evenly before water is forced though. The machine then runs an automatic cycle for either a single or double shot and beeps at you when it's complete, which takes about 45 seconds for a double shot. I'm really happy with the quality of the shot, as well. It has a nice rich crema and great taste. I can't comment on the milk frother at all, as I use a separate milk frothing jug and just can't bring myself to go back to the hassle of the steam wand other than to say that it does produce steam (the machine heats further, up to about 266°F for this, according to the display) and is easily controlled by the rotary knob and manipulated by the silicon tab on the wand. Overall, I'm really happy with both the appearance and function of this machine. I'll update my review as I get more use out of it, should I encounter anything that warrants it.

In the world of expresso, it's hard to find machines which are affordable. A lot of them seems to be made to a really high standard and have the price that go along with it.

This machine separate itself from that and offer a build quality more equivalent to a regular coffee machine (which everyone use without issues btw), and managed to bring the cost of the machine way down to just under 200$ at the time of reviewing.

Sure, lots of parts are made of plastic when they could have been stainless steel metal, but you are also making substancial saving by opting for cheaper materials.

And I don't think the use of those cheaper material will make the machine less durable. It appears to me to be very well made and should last as long as any coffee machine made with similar materials.

I am not a professional taster, but I would have a hard time distinguishing the expresso this machine produced from any other expresso made by a barista with a super expensive machine. I'm sure some people would claim to see a difference, but to me this is perfectly fine.

Easy recommendation if you are after a good value for your money.
