Great baby lock

Great baby lock
We are using this product as a baby lock to keep the little one out of the bathroom but to keep the door partially opened to keep air circulating or our bathroom turns into a sauna with the door closed all the time. I have it mounted to the inside of the door just the way our bathroom door opens outward due to space. We have been using it for two weeks now and it can easily opened one handed and quickly in this situations where I need the bathroom now type deal. Highly recommended this product!

    These work great for cats. Great price and design. My favorite is that they keep the door propped open, (which the strap type of the popular brand do not) and once opened they come down out of the way. Also, they are very easy to open and close on whichever side of the door that I'm on. I've got three cats, a 7lbs, 11lbs and 14lbs, all of them can get through at the largest setting, and the frenchie dog (28lbs) cannot. Just be aware that if there is a wall or cabinets at 90 degrees from the opening, such as I have with my bathroom, there will not be enough space for the cats to slither into the opening and around the door. For that I needed to use 2 strap and hook type of the popular brand which I looped together to make enough space. To sum up, I've been using these several times a day, every single day, for a couple months now and i love them. They are amazing

    My cats litter box is in the basement and we used to keep the door slightly ajar for him to enter whenever he wants. It worked until we got our rescue. He likes to pee on the litter box and bag. For like 2 years I was struggling to get people to close the basement door, train my dog to stay away (he pees to mark his territory its makes him feel more secure because he's got anxiety) and straight up walking my cat to pee. I can't tell you how many times I've walked my cat to pee at 1 am and found dog pee and had to do the whole song and dance of throw out cat litter, wash box, double mop area then wash the mop to make sure smell doesn't stick. I was going nuts. Then I got this little thing and it literally solved the problem immediately. It holds the basement door open enough that only my cat can get through and it's easy enough to unlatch. I can't belive it took me so long to check amazon.

    Fitting these took about 10 minutes using the supplied screws. I chose not to use the adhesive pads, also supplied. Most of that was making sure they were correctly placed on our awkward door frames. Check the positioning of both parts with the door closed before final fixing. Once fitted, they do the job nicely and provide a gap big enough for our cat but too small for our puppy. The gap is easily adjustable within the limits of the length of the arm.
