  At the smallest setting it keeps the cats out of a room full of plants while allowing air to circulate. Had to modify the strap/bar. Since the door opens off of a hallway, the extra part of the adjustable bar was sticking through the round locking mechanism, into the hallway. I cut this off and rounded the edges as we will not be using the extra part.
