I had to order 2 of these from 鶹 because the stores were all sold out. I had acquired the last 2 but needed 2 more. The 2 from 鶹 hardly worked at all. I had to bait the wasps with meat and even then they hardly came. The video is the store bought one that I could not get close enough to take a picture because of the swarm of wasps. I doubt I can return them, but I would like my money back.

    We've been using this product for quite some time right now. It catches a ton of flies however the downside is it stinks really bad. It smells like rotting fish so you definitely want to hang this thing far away from you as the smell is just God awful. It catches so many flies it is insane!

    Firstly, these things work!
    Secondly, I had to watch a youtube video on how to set it up because it was unclear.
    Once you get past that mess, you add water and you still need to figure out how and where to hang it. - These should come with string - but they dont! I ended up folding up an old wire coat hanger and using that to hang it off a fence in the yard.
    Once hung, it takes a while for the liquid to mix and start attracting wasps.
    The wasps were bad this summer in my area and they were nesting behind some brick in my house - after sealing off the brick, they were all confused and almost all of them ended up in this trap.
    I can't express how irritated I was with the wasps - and how satisfying it was to watch them struggle to get out of the trap, unsuccessfully. The trap is still up currently and doing its thing!

    Purchased the items ( 2 pack) for the yellow jacket / wasps. Both bags were glued to the pop up top, attempted to remove it, and all it did was rip. On both of them. I'm not certain if the ingredients inside got wet, or what happened, but neither worked, both in trash. Out $34. Very disappointing.

    You are selling on a Canadian site are you telling me you couldn't at least put the map of Canada in your pictures as well

    While I'm not happy with them not putting the Canadian map in their listing I do need to say this is a fantastic wasp trap regardless of what people say

    We put two every year beside our compost and garbage bin and it's always full
    And I mean always full at the end of the year
    I do need to add water to it about four times during the summer but it never disappoints

    It gets lost throughout the year and most importantly at the end of summer when they're crazy
    As four people saying it mostly catches fruit flies and flies it does catch a lot of flies because it stinks they're attracted to it also
    But watching The Wasp trapped in there trying to get out I can see it works just fine

    And when I mean full at the end of summer I mean full I'll get a picture this summer and post it at the end of the summer
    I just kept filling it up with water and the dead corpse of the wasps are way past the fill water line

    Worth the money

    But hopefully I can find one made in Canada or a DIY kit hopefully some other stinky stuff will be sold made in Canada
    You would have had five stars if it wasn't for that map in your pictures

    I hung up two in separate parts of the garden. One caught hundreds of wasps and the other barely caught two or three. I have no idea why one worked and the other didn’t but maybe position is important or try different areas if you are no seeing results.

    Based on other reviews, it's clear that this product is subject to varied degrees of success for unknown reasons. In my case, it took 5 hours for the included active ingredient to start to work (the instructions do say 2-5 hours). That said, I still needed to put drops of sugar water at the entrance to bait the wasps to enter. It's almost like the wasps were not aware of the intended bait. Once the wasps started entering, the trap managed to attract about 10-12 wasps per day. Tired of this poor performance, I emptied the solution and added my own solution of sugar water. Trapping performance improved with sugar water, but not any where close to my old glass catcher. I won't buy again based on my experience and have returned to the new plastic style bottle with sugar water.

    Hang this AWAY from where you sit outside ect. It will attract lots of hornets for sure. It's was full of hornets in 2 days. There is no nest in our yard This bag has product that really does attract them. And they go after it not you out on your deck. Way better than homemade ones.
    Will buy them next summer again.

    I followed the directions. Secured with wire to my fence before filling with water. Hung it 15 feet from my front door which I think is a bit too close, because I went inside to set my jar down and came back out and yellow jackets are coming in from all directions swarming it. Will wait until nightfall to move it a bit further away and hand the second one in my back yard.
    I haven’t been able to get any yard work done this year because of a huge yellow jacket nest in my neighbors shed that they aren’t dealing with. Just found a second nest in MY yard on the other side of my house… yeah it’s like a wasp apocalypse over here. With as much action as the single trap is already getting I have no doubt I’ll be able to get a handle on the yellow jacket population and tend to my yard without running in circles screaming and flapping my arms randomly… my neighbors must get a kick out of watching my chaos 😂

    I have used several brands and types of wasp traps over the years. Our property in the summer has so many wasps dining outside is frustrating. This trap and the bait formula is by far the best performing I have ever used.

    In just a few days, the trap bag filled with water and mixed powder bait has caught and drowned so many wasps it is nearly filled the bag up from the bottom to the surface. We are now able to dine or relax outside with minimal wasp activity, the population around us is reduced and those that fly in head to the trap.

    The issue with this product is a combination of customer and seller confusion regarding which product to use in a given region. I purchased this identical product last year and it worked great - 5 stars. I ordered again this year and I'm seeing what other people are seeing which is zero yellow jackets caught despite yellow jackets flying around in the immediate vicinity.

    My hypothesis is that very poor product labeling is resulting in the seller, Gatzies in my case, sending EAST of the Rockies product (YJTD-E) to folks located WEST of the Rockies. The people WEST of the Rockies should be receiving the YJTD-W product. I've attached product pictures and you can see the manufacturer does not label whether the product is for WEST or EAST of the Rockies. All they say is "Model YJTD" and do not specify at all whether it is for EAST or WEST, thus causing a lot of confusion between seller and customers.

    Having a clear map of what region the product is design for on the front of the product would be a MAJOR improvement that I suspect would end a lot of this confusion and terrible customer experience.

    Advice: If you get the wrong product, email the seller right away or they will cite return policy and you'll be left with a non working product and no refund.

    When you get the right product it works great (5 stars) but when you receive the wrong product it's terrible (1 star).

    Easy to use. Trim the top so the plastic mechanism pops up. Fill to the line with water, find a wire to hang, and you're ready to go. Works great! Word to the wise. Get the device ready to go inside your house or work shed because it attracts the yellowjackets right away even though it will take time for the attractant package to disintegrate in the water. The little dickens will be on it right away. Also wash your hands with soap and water if you plan on being outside.

    I’ve used these traps for years with good results. In the past I’ve purchased locally from Walmart and Home Depot. I ordered these because I found it more convenient than driving to the store.
