These are fun. The charge on the boat has it lasting about 20minutes. There is an incessant beep on the remote when battery gets low. Kind of a PITA but you get the message. If you flip over, you boat can get stranded. It doesn't always self right itself and if the bottom is out of contact with the water, the motor shut down. There should have been a x-second delay in the motor cut off. These would be fun in a pool but risky for loss at a lake (unless you have a boat for retrieval).

The material is cheap plastic and there are screws that cover the battery compartments. They are fun for sure. They probably wont last too long. I expect to get the props clogged with algae at some point, but before that happens, they are fun. Very easy to drive.

A cool set for dad and son, 2 others to race, do obstacles and just run them around.

The battery has fairly decent capacity. With a continuous run time of around 30min. Although the alarm will sound somewhere around the 20-25m Mark and give you plenty of time to get it out of the water. But as you charge the battery, expect for approx 30-45m to fully charge it again. Not bad really.

With 2 AA batteries installed into the remote, you can expect to have 10hrs+- of use. Depending on the battery. But a set of rechargeable AA lasted me a little more than 8hrs. While a set of regular value brand lasted better than 12.

I ran the boats constant for beyond 150' +-before they lost contact w remote. And even on slightly turbulent water, they maintain decent control. Getting to speed and managing to maneuver quite well. Especially for such small boats. And even when they do tip over, they right themselves fairly quickly. And right back to zooming around.

For the cost, this is a great value for any young kid to enjoy. And with the set having 2 of everything, you can satisfy brother/sister and only have arguments over color choice. Lol. Either way it is a very good value for very nice quality toys that can be enjoyed for multiple summers.

We are always looking for some fun toys to use when camping... sure, I'm a 50-year-old kid with kids but why not? I had remote boats before and these are very similar. These are fast and very responsive. The best part is when they flip, they will automatically turn right side up. This is vital if you are using them in a big area of water and you don't want to have to swim out to save them.

The two boats are very well made, sturdy and can take some rough play in the water, a few crashes and such. The remotes are a little weaker in their build but they work just fine, but I'd be wary about dropping them.

The ability to use both boats at the same time is great, they must be using two different frequencies but being able to play together is the best part of it. Love being able to race and chase each other.

These will hold a charge for a good amount of time and they charge fast too. The description says about 40 minutes of play. I would say that's not far off, I think it really depends on how you are using them, sometimes it lasted more than that, sometimes a little shorter.

These are great for young boat racers, and likely a good way to see if you are interested in investing in larger model boats to race.

Overall... perfect for the pool, good for a calm lake, and a BOATLOAD of fun.

When i got boats the red boat had a broken prop. the blue boat ran good in the pool then started up on its own and ran about 2 minutes wide open with both remotes turned off! Kids are disappointed. I would not buy these again.
