Red Lion RLCSS Series Sump Pumps
Red Lion RLCSS Series Built for Sump Systems
The Red Lion 115-Volt RLCSS Series offers three models:
- RL33CSS 1/3 HP unit delivers up to 3500 GPH idea for average water flow.
- RL50CSS 1/2 HP unit delivers up to 3900 GPH for homes that experience occasional flooding.
- RL75CSS 3/4 HP unit delivers up to 4500 GPH for homes in flood-prone areas or that have appliances empty into the sump basin.
All models are CSA CERTIFIED to US and Canadian standards. The 304 corrosion-resistant STAINLESS STEEL housing can handle more aggressive water conditions.
These pumps feature a PREMIUM SEAL SYSTEM. The cast iron motor top plate will not warp so the seal will not leak. The capacitor sits in a dry chamber protected by an O-ring seal which will not wear out because it is stationary. Our tie-bolts which are located inside the housing are only in contact with metal surfaces which are more stable than tie-bolts that are attached to plastic.
The volute is removable for cleaning, if necessary.
Raised Screened Intake
The Red Lion RLCSS has a RAISED SCREENED INTAKE which prevents debris which can sit on the bottom of the basin from entering the sump and therefore prevents the impeller from getting damaged.
The CAST IRON BASE adds additional weight to the unit which prevents the unit from travelling in the sump pit.
This pump comes with an industry-standard 1-1/2" FNPT discharge.
Contractor-preferred Snap-Action Switch
The Red Lion RLCSS CONTRACTOR PREFERRED SNAP-ACTION SWITCH consists of a solid float which can never get water logged. This AUTOMATIC pump will turn on when the water level reaches 9 to 11 inches and will turn off when the water level reaches 3 to 5 inches.
The switch also has a built-in ROD PROTECTOR which prevents the switch from hitting the side of the basin.
