Last year I purchased the RedTiger Dash Cam, but I was not sure how easy it would be to install the rear facing camera so I did not get the unit that included both the front and back camera.

Since then I have watched a number of YouTube videos on installing the rear camera and it looked easy, so I purchased this to plug into my RedTiger Dash Cam. It plugged right in and worked perfectly.

It was eash to feed the wire to the back window of my CR/V . If you are purchasing a new Dash Camera, I would recommend purchasing the package with both the front and back camera as the installation was very easy.

I'm not sure how this is considered a good dash cam. There are many serious problems with this device.
The first and probably worst is it records when it wants to not all the time lime it's supposed to. There have been several occasions where I've gone back to look at video, the most recent was to look for footage of a serious accident we witnessed, and that chuck is just not there. The car was running the entire time with no power interrupted.
The second I'll bring up for this review is the way the app connects to your phone. What the heck is with the crazy WiFi? There's got to be a better way to do this. Bluetooth maybe?
The video quality is good when it shows up.
Spend more on a better option.

I have RedTiger dash cams in all of my cars.�� They're reasonably priced and perform well.�� I did have a couple of issues with one of them and after a quick email to RedTiger, not only did they replace the unit, but I must have received 3 interim and follow-up emails making sure everything was OK.�� Exemplary customer service.

But I digress...When I sold one of my cars, I started to remove the dash cam and decided it would just be easier to leave the rear camera behind and just get a new one for the new car.�� Just like the original, it came with plenty of cable and worked perfectly.�� Much easier to just install a new one one than remove and install the other.�� Certainly worth the the price in time saving.�� If you need a new rear camera for your RedTiger dash cam...don't hesitate.
