I have wanted a good danish whisk for bread dough for a very long time but they seemed a bit pricey to me. Until I saw this one as part of a set where you also get the scraper and lame as well! What a bargain for all 3. The handles are solid wood and very sturdy. The wire part of the whisk is sturdy, thick polished metal and is perfect for whisking up bread dough ingredients. The handle is smooth and the perfect thickness for comfortable handling even for me with small and arthritic hands. The scraper is thick enough to be sturdy but thin enough to allow for easy cutting through a dough ball. The handle is solid wood that is riveted on so it isn't going to come loose or come off with even heavy use. I always thought a knife was fine for scoring the dough but after having used the lame which came with extra blades I realized that this is a way better way to cut/score. The blades are easily inserted and it comes with a nice leather cover so that you can safely store it in a drawer. If you do a lot of bread baking this is a must-have set to have.
