Useful, solid magnifying glass, nice silicone handle, helps you see details
This magnifying glass is a useful tool for kids or adults who wants to see items up close, or even read short passages easier. It really does magnify items. The further away you pull the magnifying glass from the item the more magnified the item is, but also it can get more distorted. There is a nice sweet spot of being able to see something really clearly and see more detail than you would be able to see without it. The magnifying glass has a nice solid feel to it, with silicone around the handle and edges which help make it easy to hold and less likely to break. It does have a little bit of weight to it so eventually it could be tiring to hold, but it works well. The magnifying glass is 10x magnifying, which helps with seeing small print or small details on items. However print does get distorted the higher you lift the magnifying glass in order to make the print larger. I think this would be annoying to use to read a lot of text such as a book because it is a small area of magnifying and the text can get distorted, but it is useful for looking at details on an item, or for a small amount of text like print on a pill or supplement bottle. There is a sweet spot where the text is not distorted but is still bigger, and if you can find that and use that it helps. There is a hole at the end of the handle where you can slip the included lanyard through if you want to put it around your neck. This is a useful magnifying glass with a nice rubberized silicone handle that does indeed help with seeing detail on an item or text, though the larger you make the text the more distorted it can get so it helps to find the sweet spot.
