When I picked these up my intent was to use them with Scratch Doctor - Nu FInish to buff out some minor scratched with a power tool instead of using elbow grease. When I received them I was ready to get to work but I couldn't find the adhesive pad I saw in the picture.
Thinking there was something missing in my shipment I went back to the webpage and realize the picture with the adhesive pas clearly says "not included". So after feeling like an idiot, I went to borrow one from my neighbor and finally got around to giving these a try.
They worked well, stayed stuck to the adhesive pad and ended up saving me time since my angle orbital sander spins faster than my hands scrub.
Is there higher quality pads out there? Probably, but for an everyday Joe with a small task these work just fine.

Not wool but a great product
These are definitely not a wool style wheel they are closer to the fabric of a micro fiber or even finer. I actually preferred that though because i find wool to be more aggressive. The pads are built very well, no fraying and no loose pieces flying off while polishing. The Velcro on the back sticks really well. I used these with some mother’s polish just to get the haze out of my aluminum wheels and bring the shine back. They worked perfect and didn’t leave any swirl marks or anything. Don’t expect a pad like this to cut very hard but it’s perfect for final finish stuff.

- Reviewed in Canada on May 2, 2025These polishing pads are a little thin, but I also wasn't expecting anything thick and chonky like the pro detailing shops would have. It's convenient that they're in a pack of 5, so you can always have one on hand if you need one, but they won't likely pass the test of time once used vigorously. Still, can't complain - it's a decent price ($18 at the time of review), and if you're not running a huge detailing enterprise, they should work decently for you.

- Reviewed in Canada on May 3, 2025I'm, an artist and I use these pads on my orbital sander to buff the wax protective coating I put on my paintings. They're soft and gentle, perfect for the job, and they last a long time. I used to do the buffing by hand, but this does a much better job overall. I'm very pleased with these
- Reviewed in Canada on April 12, 2025These are obviously some sort of synthetic wool. The fit my 5" pad on my PORTER-CABLE 7424XP orbital sander, and I used one with some rubbing compound to cut away the heavy haze on my headlights, then I used another one with some finer polish to get a clearer finish. Finished them off with a hand applied coat of wax and they came out very nice for something that took me all of 10 minutes. BE careful, since the edges are a little rough so try to keep it flat on the surface you are polishing/buffing. Unlike bonnets on a circular buffer, these should not be used at an angle to the surface.
The backing seems to hold on well even after washing the pads. Not sure how long they will last, but the price seems to be low enough that they are great for the odds jobs, and won't break the bank.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 5, 2025This product includes five 5-inch polishing pads with a short hair design. Each pad has a thickness of 0.6 inches. The pads are made of artificial wool and high-density fiber, giving them a soft and delicate feel. They are durable and not easy to shed, making them perfect for polishing various items. The pads are washable and reusable, adding to their convenience and longevity.
For best results, you can use the pads on their own or with a polishing solution. When waxing products, it is recommended to use them at 1000-1800 rpm. For polishing, it’s best to use them at 1800-3000 rpm. Before use, make sure to rotate the pads in the machine for 30 seconds to ensure smooth operation. When cleaning the pads, use cold water only and avoid using hot water. It's also important not to use the pads on high-temperature painted surfaces.
These polishing pads are versatile and can be used for a wide range of applications. They are great for cleaning and removing scratches, water stains, and other imperfections on automobile and motorcycle paint. Additionally, they are suitable for polishing, waxing paint, repairing paint defects, and surface treatment of metal, stone, wood, and more.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 4, 2025I chose this 5-pack of 5" "wool" polishing pads for use with my 5" random orbital sander that has a foam backing pad included with it.
These pads work well for paint finishing, especially the final buff/polish after wet sanding clear coats or single-stage paints. I'm currently repainting a motorcycle fuel tank and I've found that the 5" sander with these pads work much better on the curves of the tank than trying to get my 8" polisher to make good contact with the surface.
These pads, after first use, did a good job of applying compound polish and then final polish with a 3M swirl remover. They wash out just fine and seem like they'll last for a few uses each at least.
My only issue with these is the fact that they're labelled as "wool" pads when they're actually a synthetic material. I don't mind this but if someone's looking for actual wool pads, these wouldn't be a good choice. Other than that, an economical option for your 5" polisher/sander.
Note that the listing indicates use with an angle grinder. Most angle grinders spin FAR too fast for the <3000rpm speed that these are rated for. Don't use these with an angle grinder, only an angle polisher. Using these with an angle grinder very well may melt the paint and the pad itself.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 13, 2025Pretty soft. Doesn't seems like it will shed. Seems decent. Good enough thickness too which is good. Will update when I use.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality
I’ve used many wool pads for polishing and these are good quality. Short hair models, pad thickness 0.6 inch which is perfect for buffing projects. The looped backing hold on tightly to my polisher. These hold up well in the use 1800-3000 rpm range, I’ve seen others wool fold down. Having 5 is a good amount for when one wears down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good value
I bought these to use when I touch up the "dings" on my 8 year old car. And I have a special coating I can put on the car to help it repel dirt. I like the loop and look fastening so it is secure on the buffer.
