- Reviewed in Canada on May 1, 2025Verified PurchaseThis airfyer has been used much more than expected. It cooks fast, cleans up easily and most importantly the food comes out crispy and moist. The touch screen controls are simple to use and understand, with a number of preset temperatures and timing for commonly cooked foods. The reminder beep to flip whatever is cooking is useful to prevent burning. Clean up is quick, easy and most leftovers rinse right off with out scrubbing. The basket is a good size and can fit a decent size pork chop or a bag of frozen fries. The unit vents out the back and a tip is to face that towards your hood fan to suck out the cooking smells. My one grip is the poorly designed cord storage at the back of the unit which doesn't work well and takes up space. An excellent, good quality air fryer.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 9, 2025Verified PurchaseBest airfryer !
- Reviewed in Canada on May 4, 2025Verified PurchaseReally like this new version of the Phillips Air Fryer. Does a nice job crisping things up, easy to use and easy to clean.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 8, 2025I have used several other brands of airfryers before (mostly generic branded), all lasted a couple of years and either broken down or got neglected. When this Philips brand airfryer came along, being a recognized brand name, it just reignited my interest in using airfryer in my cooking repertoire again. Here's my take so far after about a month or so of using it:
• It has a generous space in a relatively compact footpring, and its more or less square shape is actually much more useful vs. the rectangular baskets of other designs. I think the basket shape also help to provide evenly distributed heat during cooking, as evident in the fairly uniform browning and cripsing effects of meats & potatoes regardless of where it was placed within the basket.
• The touchscreen interface is straightforward, and surprisingly has the capability for customize presets, like your own temperature and time. This is not a common feature in other models I've owned.
• The fan noise is relatively quiet, at around 50 db as measured using my mobile phone.
• As mentioned above, the heat distribution is good to excellent, providing fairly even browning from edge to edge. This is especially evident when making cookies, as the cookies set at the edges are equally well baked and browned as the middle.
• There's an auto-pause feature that I'm just beginning to love to use, which stops the cooking when door is slid open. I don't typically follow prescribed recipes and experiment on my own, which led to requiring peeking into the basket frequently to gauge the state of cooking, as the result, I find this feature very useful.
• Speaking of "peeking" at the food during cooking - the window is not designed the best, having to look downwards from the top. For one thing, with my height and my SO's even shorter height, we have to stand on our toes to able to look downward into the window. I also found that it's much better to look at an angle (i.e., instead of straight down). Some other brands have window on the side of the basket, which I find to be much better.
• The ability to keep food warm before, during, or after cooking is a useful feature. It's different than reheating, rather it maintains the temperature of the food until ready to serve.
• The variety of cooking functions, including a dedicated vegan mode, was a pleasant surprise.
Some minor issues:
• Touch screen sensitivity is a bit finicky, sometimes requiring multiple presses or heavier pressure, but not too frequent.
• The manual is just "too much" to read... maybe it's just a Philips thing, as I vaguely recall having the same issue with other Philips products.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 18, 2025So I was one of those doubtful people always rolling her eyes and mentally thinking 'uh huh, sure' whenever my friends would praise their air fryers. The whole thing seemed like a gimmick. I had a convection oven, why would I need essentially the same technology?
I fully, freely, and humbly admit it now. I WAS WRONG. I WAS SO WRONG!
WOW. I cannot thank Phillips enough for this DREAM helper that has completely and utterly revolutionized my dinners. I can make homemade french fries and sweet potato fries that EASILY rival (or IMO are WAY better) than anything made fresh to order at a restaurant. They come out SO crispy and tender and packed with flavour, and I can indulge in a larger serving because they are practically guilt free - you only need a teaspoon of a healthy oil and you've got a snack that tastes comparatively to something deep fried.
I've made onion rings, chicken wings, chicken thighs, roasted broccoli, roast peppers, even garlic bread - the sky is the limit and this air fryer has not let me down yet.
The controls are very simple and practically intuitive. I felt I only needed to consult my instruction manual for set-up/safety precautions and to look over the presets for different food types. It's otherwise effortless to use. The tray has a built in handle to help you with "shaking" contents mid-cook cycle to redistribute even heating to your food. You can take it apart for easy cleaning once finished and your tray and pan are cooled down.
Upkeep is otherwise very easy and the size of this air fryer is not bulky or cumbersome on my kitchen counter, and easy to store when not in use. The capacity is also perfect for my needs. For example, I can produce enough french fries in one cook cycle to serve about 3-4 people at once (so if you have a larger household keep that in mind.)
I especially love the viewing window that you can light up to peek at food - I've found the "estimated times" for some foods in the instruction book to be way off. For instance, perfect shoestring french fries needed about 14 less minutes or so to cook - so I advise to test your foods as you try them out the first time to make sure you don't overcook. It is so powerful!
Also be very careful to read how to avoid burns when dealing with the hot tray, and how to avoid ruining surfaces due to heat transfer!
Otherwise, I have to give a glowing endorsement. I was wrong and air fryers are kitchen gods. I'll never doubt again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mealtime Hero! Crispy, and Quick
Verified PurchaseWhy did you pick this product vs others?:
As a busy parent in a household of four, this Air Fryer has quickly become my go to kitchen sidekick! it has a roomy 6.5qt capacity, I can cook enough crispy chicken tenders or roasted veggies in one batch to feed the whole crew! no more rotating trays or cooking in shifts. The cooking window is a game changer (for me! I finally have no guessing!). I love that it cuts down on oil without sacrificing flavor, and it’s surprisingly easy to clean, especially for something we use almost daily. My only small gripes: the HomeID app recipes can be hit or miss, and it’s a bit bulky on the counter, but honestly, the time and mess it saves far outweighs those quirks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very convenient
Verified PurchaseI honestly didn’t expect to love this air fryer as much as I do, but here we are. The 6.5qt size is perfect — big enough to fit meals for my small family without having to batch cook everything. The best part? The little cooking window! I didn’t realize how much I’d appreciate being able to peek in without opening it and letting heat escape.
It’s super intuitive to use (the 16-in-1 presets definitely come in handy), and it heats up quickly thanks to that RapidAir Plus technology — whatever that magic is, it works. My fries come out crispy, my chicken stays juicy, and I’ve even tried roasting veggies and baking cookies in it. Total win.
Also, shoutout to the HomeID Recipe App — it’s surprisingly helpful when I don’t feel like thinking too hard about dinner. And yes, it’s really easy to clean (because I absolutely do not have time for anything high-maintenance).
If you’re on the fence, I say go for it. This one’s made my life a lot easier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Game changer in my kitchen!
Verified PurchaseHaving recently started using the Philips Airfryer 3000 Series, I’m excited to share my experience thus far! My inaugural dish was a breaded chicken patty, and I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome—it came out beautifully crispy on the outside while remaining incredibly moist and tender on the inside. The air fryer truly delivered on its promise of achieving delicious results with less oil.
Another aspect I really appreciate is how effortless the cleanup process is. The non-stick basket makes washing up a breeze, and knowing that it’s dishwasher safe saves me valuable time after cooking.
The Home ID app that accompanies the air fryer has also been a fantastic addition to my cooking journey. It provides an extensive selection of recipes specifically designed for the air fryer, allowing me to explore a variety of meal options. The step-by-step guidance offered in the app has been invaluable, especially as I’m still getting comfortable with air frying.
In summary, my experience with the Philips Airfryer 3000 Series has been incredibly positive. It not only produces mouthwatering dishes but also simplifies both cooking and cleaning. I highly recommend this air fryer to anyone eager to embrace healthier cooking options and discover new culinary delights!
