How can I check if the mount is suitable for my TV?

First, please check your wall for wood studs. Of course! It can be mounted on concrete wall and brick wall, but you need to use additional anchors when installing. Please pay attention to the wall mounting studs distance is 16 inch maximum.
Next, the weight of your TV should be less than 99lbs/45kg and your TV should be at least 26 inch.
Then, please check the VESA pattern, VESA = horizontal × vertical. Mounting holes distance on the back of TV must be less than 16" (400mm) horizontally and 16" (400mm) vertically.
Finally, please check the TV back area inside the 4 mounting holes to make sure there are not any cables outlet. Otherwise, the plate may block the plugs.

You need to have a stud finder to install this.

You either need studs roughly 16 inches apart in the wall OR you can install a wooden plate (not included) on your wall studs and then install the wall mount to that..a little complicated but most wall studs are located 16 inches apart in standard construction anyways..the thing took me about 20 min to setup cuz I've done this before.

Following proper safety protocol is imperative when installing this product or you risk causing serious damage or death. Do not install this into just drywall. It needs to be as centred as possible into the studs there are YouTube videos that can help you with this. It's really easy once you know how to find them.

It tilts horizontally, side to side..but not upward and downward.. unfortunately..to my knowledge..you also need a 1/2 size socket wrench to fasten the reinforcement bolts into the wall. A power drill will not work for this part.

Also you will need to pre drill holes in the wall into the studs large enough to be able to fit the reinforcement bolts into the studs..a handy paper diagram they provide makes it easy to know where to drill and what size drill bit to use just match to the reinforcement bolts..maybe a little bit smaller.

If you're a handyman or willing to learn..this is much better than just your standard wall mount with no mobility this thing can hug the wall tight or go about a foot and a half out from the wall and is quite sturdy but easy to work with in the end.

For $40 CAD you can't go wrong. This is the best wall mount I've ever bought. Didn't even require to read the instructions before installing..it was that easy for me.

See the pictures posted with this review for the overall width of the mount, plus the detail of the distance from the farthest part of the left hand hole to the farthest point of the right hand hole. As you can see it's a bit over 16 inches, which is adequate to ensure you get this mounted securely.

POSITIVES:
1) Sturdy, sturdy, sturdy. I mounted a 50 inch Hisense weighing about 12kg (26 lbs). The mount moves easily with the TV secured to it. It does NOT shift, twist, bend, or seem like it will suffer any structural failure. NOTE: the bolts that secure the mount allowing you to tilt the screen up and down or to zero out tilt of the screen are snug but not tightened when shipped. You MUST tighten these after the TV is attached, otherwise it might not be secure. Maybe that's where the folks that left negative reviews erred?
2) Comes with an HDMI cable. I didn't need it, but it's always helpful to have another.
3) Comes with 5 velcro cable wraps to help clean up the tangle of cords most TVs have dangling from behind them. I use a cable conduit but these are handy for keeping the cords of kitchen appliances, etc. organized.
4) Comes with a bubble level. I tested mine against my other levels and it was accurate. Again, some reviewers have stated that the level is not accurate but that is not my experience.
5) Excellent value for money. Even the big box stores can't match this price.
6) Comes with all the hardware that you might need to mount to the TV as well as to the wall, including anchor plugs for use in CONCRETE walls (NOT drywall).

NEGATIVES:
1) Um... the packaging was kind of heavy when I picked it up at the post office? It didn't include a carpenter to install the mount for me? Seriously, I can't think of a negative.

Bottom line - great mount, great price, it's everything I wanted in a TV mount.

3) Comes with 5 velcro cable wraps to help clean up the tangle of cords most TVs have dangling from behind them. I use a cable conduit but these are handy for keeping the cords of kitchen appliances, etc. organized.
4) Comes with a bubble level. I tested mine against my other levels and it was accurate. Again, some reviewers have stated that the level is not accurate but that is not my experience.
5) Excellent value for money. Even the big box stores can't match this price.
6) Comes with all the hardware that you might need to mount to the TV as well as to the wall, including anchor plugs for use in CONCRETE walls (NOT drywall).

NEGATIVES:
1) Um... the packaging was kind of heavy when I picked it up at the post office? It didn't include a carpenter to install the mount for me? Seriously, I can't think of a negative.

Bottom line - great mount, great price, it's everything I wanted in a TV mount.
