Product Description

Toilet Riser with Handles Lid Raised Seat Lifted Raiser Extender Elevated Elongated Seat Handicap

INSTALLATION: STEPS TO FOLLOW

STEP 1

Turn the toilet riser upside down and insert the handles until you hear a click and the supports in the side holes. Turn the nuts without fully tightening them, otherwise it will not be possible to fit the seat.

STEP 2

Lift both lids of the toilet (A) and set the toilet riser. Make sure the inside edge is on the inside of the toilet and the front edge is on the outside (B).

STEP 3

Turn the head of each of the two side supports clockwise. Check that the riser is fixed and immovable on the toilet. The riser should fit in a perfectly flat position.

READY!

Once the toilet riser is in place and fixed, you can raise and lower the lid when you see fit for greater hygiene.

BEFORE YOU BUY: check if it fits your toilet.

CHECK THE MEASUREMENTS

Check that the inside length of the toilet (measurement A) is greater than 10.8".
Check that the inside width of the toilet (measurement B) is greater than 8.5".
Check at 4" from the toilet lid, if the outside width of the toilet (measurement C) is greater than 13.5" and less than 15.35"
Check that from the axis of the toilet to the nearest wall (measurement D) is greater than 10".

If the measurements are higher, you can install our toilet riser lift without problems.

BEFORE USE: keep these instructions for use in mind.

SUPPORT YOUR HANDS CORRECTLY

WRONG USE (A): You should not use only one hand on the armrest, as applying too much force to one side can create instability and cause the seat to move.
CORRECT USE (B): You should support yourself with both hands on the armrests when sitting down and when getting up, in this way the seat will be more stable and safer for use.

The only positive thing I can find to say about this item is that the seat is comfortable. I bought it before having a full knee replacement and installed it a week prior to surgery, which was too late to return it.

I realized immediately that the handles weren’t going to work. They make the seat ridiculously tippy and dangerous. Also, unless one has really skinny thighs and weighs about 100 lbs, it’s a no-go unless you like to sit with your knees clamped together with no wiggle room! So, I removed the handles and instead have had to rely on my walker for getting up.

The quality of the plastic in the hinges of the lid and side clamps is very poor. I had to cut non-slip mats into strips to get any kind of grip from the side clamps. Even then, the whole setup is really unstable and one has to be careful to sit squarely on the seat.

A month in of regular use and one of the hinges of the lid has snapped. Once I no longer need this seat it will unfortunately have to be recycled as in all conscience no-one else could safely use it.

Buyer beware! This seat wasn’t by any means inexpensive, but rather spend more and get something of better quality! I feel ripped off.
