HOW TO CLEAN THE GLASS TUBE

Please take the glass tube out from the patio heater, use some wet cloth to wrap a long and hard stick. Then push the wet cloth back and forth inside the glass tube.

HOW TO DISCHARGE PELLETS

You can not put out fire when there is still pellets buring in the hopper.

However, you can discharge pellets from the hopper then it will burn only the remaining pellets at the bottom and it will quickly stop buring when there is no pellets in it.

Ça fait longtemps que voulais ce genre de foyer. Son principal défaut, c'est de laisser tomber des granules en feu au sol limitant aussi les endroits où l'on peut l'utiliser. J'ai réglé cette lacune en insérant un moule à pain en aluminium entre les pattes et le bas du foyer en laissant une espace de 3/4 de pouce pour permettre aux granules en feu et les cendres de tomber sans obstruer l'ouverture du foyer. Ainsi je peux rentrer le foyer en sécurité une fois le feu éteint sans danger de tisons ardent qui tombe du foyer. Et je peux l'utiliser sur un patio de bois en toute sécurité. Un autre problème que j'ai résolu, la grille du pot à feu arrière ce bouche de cendres après une heure de combustion diminuant la hauteur de la flamme par manque d'oxygène, pour résoudre le problème j'ai trouvé chez princess auto une brosse en acier complètement sauf la poignée que je passe au heure. Maintenant il me reste à trouver une brosse de 4 pouces en nylon pour nettoyer l'intérieur du tube de verre avec du nettoyeur à vitre de poêle à bois. Maintenant, il reste à savoir si le grillage où brule les granules va tenir le coup, la chaleur est vraiment intense à ce niveau. Je crois que ce poêle brule environ 5 livres de granules à l'heure, une poche de 40 lbs pour un party.

I added a metal screen at the bottom to catch the burning pellets that fall through (other reviewers have mentioned this issue)

Then only remaining trouble is that the pellets just pile to the bottom and you can't modulate the feed rate! That would be a nice feature, but would obviously cost more.

After reading other reviews that the heater drops burning pellets, I saw that my wife had thrown out a 9 x 13 cookie sheet, and I had an idea: Using a pair of tin snips and metal bending pliers, I could make a tray to catch any burning pallets that fall out of the heater.

The tray can be easily mounted by punching & drilling four holes where the leg stand plate mounts to the bottom of the heater, then screwing through the tray when assembling - sorry, I forgot to take a photo of hole placement. Markings on the blue tape show my measurements and where I cut and bent the metal of the cookie sheet. Photos show all steps.

Since I had the tin snips and pliers out, I decided that I could also make a shallow drawer out of 6-inch aluminum flashing to go inside the air intake to catch any burnt pellets that fell out there without obstructing airflow. More blue tape and measurements show where I bent the cheap aluminum flashing. Hopefully, photos show enough steps for others to duplicate my build.

After-burn photos show that the tray and the drawer caught all burning embers. Not a one got down to the deck. Success!

Video shows the heater looks great when burning. Too bad it doesn’t throw much heat. My next improvement experiment will be adding a heat deflector to the top (made from a 4-inch chimney rain cap - $12 at Ace Hardware). If that proves insufficient, then I’ll add an emitter and reflector from a square pyramid patio heater.

This fire pit was super easy to assemble — I didn’t even need the instructions. The design is clean and efficient, and the flame it produces is impressive. Just one cup of pellets gives you about 15 minutes of burn time. I’m not sure of the total capacity, but I’ve been using it for up to two hours at a time with no issues.

The worst product I’ve ever seen in my life. My patio was almost caught fire. On the sudden it discharged all the burning pellets on the ground. My travertine got damaged and I have to replace it. It’s unsafe fireplace and it must be banned to be sold in �鶹��. I wish if I could remembered to take a picture of the damage that was caused by using it. I will definitely file a claim against the manufacturer. DONT BUT IT it’s unsafe.
